Who said fisherman can’t adapt and catch fish for their family just about anywhere… with anything!
I’m still not exactly sure what city this video takes place in (somewhere in South America), but either way, kudos for these fisherman that gave an old tarp a shot in a small river.
As you will see in the video, these men drag a big tarp through a shallow river in hopes that the fish (presumably some type of carp) will jump up on the tarp.
The video’s notes (from Roberto Lenz) describe the entire video with just one short sentence…
“Net Fishing Is For Bobos”
Not exactly sure which definition of Bobo that Roberto is referencing (here is a link to the hilarious “Urban Dictionary” interpretation of “Bobos”), but regardless, we get the hint.
My question is, how many men does it take to pull the tarp out of the river once loaded down with water and fish? That has to be incredibly heavy!
Perhaps that will be part II…
Enjoy this “Freshwater Friday” video below!
NOTE: These men were not breaking any rules, and the city did not really ask them to stop using nets. This was all in good fun for Freshwater Friday. So get over it PETA.
