GOOSEBUMPS!

Yep this jungle tarpon fishing video gave me Goosebumps.

After watching “The Best Tarpon Video To Ever Come Out Of Boca Grande” that went SUPER-VIRAL (watch it here), I didn’t think we would come across a Tarpon video that would compete with it any time soon.

But this “Early Morning Jungle Tarpon Fishing” video is right up there with the all-time best Tarpon videos of all time. The slow-mo shots of the tarpon jumping are sick, and when you see the first tarpon jump while going after the bait fish, you will know why this gave me goosebumps.

This amazing Tarpon video was filmed by GetAway Tours with the help of the Tapam Jungle Poon Adventure guides in Nicaragua.

If this doesn’t get you excited about Tarpon fishing, then God have mercy on your soul…

P.S. – The first part of this video start off slow, but you have my word that if you watch this entire video, you will be rewarded. Enjoy!

P.P.S. – Let us know which tarpon video you thought was the best in the comment section. This “Jungle Tarpon” or the Boca Grande Tarpon (you can watch it here next)

This is pretty sweet!

Not only is this guy fly fishing in some truly remarkable water in backwater Cuba, but he takes it to a whole new level by using the old “Bow & Arrow” fly shot in super close quarters.

If you have ever been fly fishing, you know that this is not as easy as it looks.

Great job Stephan Dombaj!

Just when you think you have seen it all in terms of tarpon fishing videos, this video takes fly-fishing for tarpon to a whole new level…

These “underwater tarpon fishing” guys not only shocked the heck out of us with this video, but they also most likely set a New World Record for Tarpon Fishing:

Sight-Casting, Hooking, Fighting, and Landing a Tarpon Without Ever Setting Foot On Land Or Boat!!!!

I would have loved to have been around the bar or kitchen table when these guys were having a beer to discuss this idea of doing “Underwater Tarpon Fishing” (aka catching a tarpon while fly fishing underwater).

Who would have thought this would ever work! Simply speechless!

Disclaimer: We sincerely apologize for the cursing in this video and we hope that you can ignore it to focus on the amazing footage. It was simply too awesome of footage to not share this.

Barracudas are freaking fast and ferocious!

Not to mention, they have some gnarly teeth that can do some major damage to their prey in quick fashion (just ask this Giant Trevally in the video below…)

In fact, it has been said that pound for pound, a barracuda has a stronger jaw and more damaging bites than almost any shark out there.

After watching how big of a chunk the barracuda took out of this big GT (Giant Trevally), we tend to agree. Wowzers!

Normally, landing a tarpon is one of the toughest things about tarpon fishing. Because as any tarpon angler knows that when tarpon

Because as any tarpon angler knows, if the tarpon are biting, it isn’t incredibly difficult to jump a tarpon…

However getting the tarpon to stay on the line long enough to land it can be an entirely different story…

Check out this amazing video where a guy sight fishes a Tarpon with a Fly rod, miraculously keeps him out of the mangroves, and then for a grand finale…

The Tarpon jumps in the boat!

Folks, we have found the “Tarpon Whisperer”.

Lucky for these guys, the Tarpon wasn’t 150lbs…

Enjoy.

If you love catching snook and permit, then you will appreciate every minute of this “Snook and Permit Fishing Heaven” video filmed in Mexico.

If this doesn’t want to make you grab a fly rod and head for the border, then nothing will!

Great job Outdoor Hub and Casa Blanca Fly Fishing Lodge in Yucatan, Mexico.

We hope to be there in the near future hooking into some monster inshore fish like this!

Bonefish are known as one of the tougher fish to catch on the flats.

And after watching this video, I believe that this “bonefish legend” holds true for both man and shark…

You see, this fish are incredibly gifted at camouflaging themselves to blend in with the sandy bottom, they spook incredibly easy, and they are quite fast.

So when this shark saw that a local bonefish was hooked, he decided it might be a quick meal…

However, the bonefish had other plans.

Even while hooked on this angler’s fly line, the bonefish was able to escape the larger, but slower to react shark.

Finally, once the shark sees the angler there, the shark becomes tired of being made to look like a fool on camera, and quickly leaves the scene…

Well done bonefish, and well done angler on helping out the bonefish.

And thanks for sharing Fish along

If you have ever caught an inshore fish before, then you know how addicting it can be to go out and do it again…and again…and again…

There is something magical when a fish strikes your line, when the line starts sizzling out, and beating all of the variables you must overcome to land any inshore fish, regardless if you are using a fly reel or a spinning reel…

So when we saw this incredible video by Patrick Rhea of Livit Films (check out our entertaining interview with Patrick here), we had to share it because we knew that you would relate to it.

That you would relate to the “Skinny Water Obsession” of doing anything to find the best fishing spots…

That you would relate to driving hundreds of miles to try new areas…

That you would sacrifice other things in life to be able to wet a line and catch fish.

This is the Skinny Water Obsession, and Patrick did one heck of a job documenting what it feels like.

If you love catching (or even watching) the magnificent “Silver King Tarpon”, then you are absolutely going to love this video that tracks the tarpon migration.

And yes, around the 3:30 mark the dog actually does jump in the water to “fetch” the tarpon.

Pretty awesome tarpon hunting dog if you ask me.

And pretty awesome Tarpon video!

We apologize in advance for the couple of curse words, but this tarpon video by Waterline Media was too good to pass up.

Amazing work on the film, and amazing tarpon footage gents.
