Essential Roles

The landscape in the fishing world is changing as the consumer is forcing how we consume fishing content.

Unlike fishing magazines that write articles 60-90 days before anyone ever reads them or fishing TV shows that are filmed 6-9 months before they go live, this new team member will have the opportunity to compose creative content that anglers can use the same day it’s written, focused on the following needs:

• Writing blog posts and emails with SEO and sales conversion in mind
• Creating headlines and thumbnails our readers can’t help but click on
• Maintaining and publishing to a content calendar
• Creating amazing fishing content that helps anglers maximize their time

Qualifications

Education/Experience 

• Computer 
  • Publishing blog posts on WordPress
  • SEO Metrics & Implementation (preferred workflow & platform)
  • Modern Digital Team Technologies: Google Drive, Loom, Slack etc.
• Collaboration & Communication 
  • Producing content around a schedule 
  • Experience with a remote team
  • Copywriting
  • Proven workflow for research & grammar checking
• Style  
  • On-brand voice
  • Short and long-form
  • Balance in humor & articulation

Communication Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers, peers, and all levels of the company.

Reasoning Ability

• Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team, and must have good time management skills.

• Ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Hours

• Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

$45,000 salary
