Normally when you are fishing on a reef you have to watch your feet for sea urchins, stingrays, and other sharp objects…

But here on the Bugatti Reef (off Australia) you have to watch out for massive bull sharks just feet away from the edge.

Check out what this angler from Nomad Sportfishing Adventures encounters while fighting a nice GT (Giant Trevally)!

Amazing how close it was to his feet.

I bet he will be telling this story for decades.

When you go fishing for Goliath Grouper, it’s important to have your drag set tight so that the beast of a fish doesn’t take you down into the structure.

Of course, you also never know what size Goliath is going to hit your bait down below.

So when this 400-450 pound hammered firefighter Stephen Rampersad’s bait, it hit with enough power to pull him overboard.

But Stephen never gave up, somehow managed to hold on to the rod, and ended up celebrating with Capt. Ben Chancey of Chew On This before it was all said and done.

Amazing fight gents!

Holy Giant Trevally Awesomefest!

Ever since YETI Coolers sold $100 million of stainless steel cups, they have been putting out some pretty amazing short film features.

But this one takes the cake!

In this video, YETI follows around the Alphonse Fishing Company as they wade the flats of the Cosmoledo Atoll (aka “Cosmo”, which is part of the Seychelles chain of islands), hoping for a shot at Giant Trevally.

They catch everything from bonefish to permit to triggerfish and then go after the monster GTs!

If you don’t get fired up about fishing around the 5:40 mark and beyond, then you don’t love flats fishing.

That music combined with the absolute annihilation of GTs is pretty epic.

Oh, and be prepared for an emotional ending.

What a strike!

Although the video had a bit of a weird ending, the first minute or so is pretty epic!

An angler attaches a camera to his fishing line while jigging near Ascension Island to see what he could capture.

You see the jig hit the bottom of the ocean, start going up through a school of fish, and then out of nowhere…

There are three things in the outdoors that I can watch for hours…

  1. Waves hitting the beach
  2. Staring at a fire while camping
  3. Tarpon feeding

So when I started watching this awesome tarpon feeding footage from Capt. Wade Pryor and Shelley Green down in the Florida Keys, I could have sworn that tarpon came up and took a bite on the GoPro!

Thankfully they did a slo-mo instant replay that confirmed what I thought.

That’s when you know you have some hungry tarpon!

Ruthless!!!

When bull sharks are hungry, nothing stops them from eating any free meal that comes in their path, even other sharks…

In this wild video, angler Palm Beach Pete is out on his paddle board while his buddies KC and Dwayne head out in their kayaks.

They were hoping to catch some permit that day when KC hooked into a nice blacktip shark.

Right before it came up to the surface for a landing and release, a couple of massive bull sharks came out of the blue and ripped the blacktip shark to shreds!

Nature can be brutal sometimes…

Not since the super-viral video, “Dolphin Captures Big Snook On Film” have we seen a snook manhandled this badly by a porpoise on film…

Sadly, another snook bites the dust by the snout of a dolphin.

In this video, Angler Jeff Palmer filmed this dolphin playfully flinging a snook before grabbing it and taking it with him for his next meal.

And as you will see in this up and close footage, the dolphin was stunning the snook (not really “toying or playing” with it) before putting an end to the fun.

Nature at work.

Is there anything better than seeing a redfish coming out of the water and hitting a topwater plug, fly, or popper in less than two feet of water?

I think not.

If you know much about tuna fishing, then you know that the dogtooth tuna is one of those “bucket list” fish for many anglers and spearfishing pros that target tuna.

Moreover, these dogtooth tuna (aka “Doggies”) are known to be incredibly powerful, aggressive predators that feed down in the sea. Rarely do the come up and hit bait or lures on the top of the water.

So seeing one hit your topwater plug is quite rare.

That is why the team at FishTube.tv had to travel all the way to Seychelles (an archipelago of 115 islands off of Africa) to find one of the few places in the world to catch “Doggies” using topwater lures.

Pretty awesome stuff! And if you know of any other footage of dogtooth tuna exploding on topwater like this, please let us know in the comments. We’d love to see it.
