Normally we save the freshwater fishing videos for “Freshwater Friday”, but this one was too good to wait.

And with lines like, “That one right there is going to be good in some grease”, you will know why this video is going viral.

If you have never seen catfish noodling before, then you are missing out on one of the South’s most entertaining freshwater activities. Heck, there is even a TV show about it.

You simply place your hand in a catfish hole, wait for the catfish to bite down on your hand/forearm, and then grip it and rip it out.

Pa-POW!

Check out the fish this girl pulls up. Well done!

The Florida Everglades has a lot to offer anglers…

Unlimited mangrove lines to explore and fish, countless species of saltwater (and freshwater) fish to catch, and even some chance encounters with the American Crocodile!

Watch and listen to what happens when these two anglers in a canoe see just how close they can get to the crocs for a pic with their GoPro and nice camera.

I bet the guy in the back wished that he had the sound off…

But even then, I think his scream would have been heard anyways.

Pretty funny stuff. Glad they paddled away unharmed.

Enjoy.

Ever heard of a Redfish Machine Gun?

Until I saw this video, I had never heard of one either.

But apparently they are brutally strong, accurate, and fun to shoot.

And if you have a fishing buddy that is annoying you, it is a great way to knock them in the water. Haha.

The guys from Badfish looked like they had a great time filming this footage of some flood tide fly fishing around Jacksonville Beach, FL.

Great job gents.

He’s Back!!!

If you never saw the wildly viral video, “How To Dock Your Boat Like A BOSS”, then click here to see it now before you watch this one.

The original “Docking like a Boss” video was created in order to raise awareness of all of the deaths that were happening to boaters on the water due to alcohol consumption while boating.

In fact, one out of four deaths in Norway (where this was filmed) was due to alcohol.

The original film has reached over 32 million viewings (that they know of), and was shared 384 000 times on Facebook.

In this brand new “Launching like a Boss” video, the actor, Jo Gill Næss (an engineer in the oil business) shows the world how to launch a boat from the ramp like a BOSS!

Well done!

Remember, boating is an artform… best practiced sober. Be smart out there folks.

Let’s face it, we’ve all tried to release a fish that didn’t go as planned at one point or another…

Fortunately for most of us, the camera wasn’t running during our “fishing fail” so that all of YouTube could see it.

But thankfully for us, angler George Saber (aka Yakman) had his GoPro running while he dealt with this pesky shark that came an inch away from nailing him where it counts.

Man, that was a close one!

The shark chomped down on the seat when it could have been something else!

Glad you paddled away safely from this one brother, and thank you for having the kahunas to post it.

Enjoy and stay tuned for the full video to see and hear the full story.

Just when you thought it was amazing to see a redfish caught using a barbie fishing rod, Captain Billy Alstrom of Suncoast Fishing Charters takes on a tarpon using a $20 Zebco 33.

And this wasn’t just some little juvenile tarpon…

This was an estimated 6 foot, 100-pound tarpon that Capt. Billy fought for a solid 45 minutes.

Notice that his rod snaps halfway through the battle, and you can see the top part of his rod on the line once the tarpon gets closer to the boat. But that didn’t stop Capt. Billy Clyde Alstrom from giving up the fight… and it certainly didn’t stop the tarpon.

After multiple leader touches, and even getting the tarpon right up next to the boat for a release, the tarpon finally does what they are known best for doing… well, I won’t ruin it for you, check out the full video below for yourself.

The ending is pretty epic after a 45-minute fight.

Well done Capt. Billy!

When Steve Jobs invented the iPhone, he knew it would revolutionize the cell phone / smartphone industry.

But I can imagine he never dreamed it would be catching fish off the beach someday…

Well, the curious folks over at “How Ridiculous” decided to take an old iPhone, rigged on some treble hooks, and hit the shores of Australia to see what they could catch.

Check out what this guy lands using nothing but his iPhone for a lure!

According to the video, the fish weighed approximately 7 lbs!

Amazing!

Spotted Seatrout.

Speckled Trout.

Speck.

Rod Thief.

Whatever you want to call our beloved saltwater trout, this video will show you just how aggressive they can be right next to your boat (with lots of noise going on).

In the crazy video below, the Salt Strong brothers are out with Chris Clark, the winner of the April Salt Strong Online Fishing Tournament’s Strongest Catch near Anclote Key, Florida.

And while Luke was reeling in a decent redfish, Joe (being the nice brother that he is) put his rod down for a minute to help get some video footage for Luke. But since I was using a Berkley Gulp Shad (that tends to dry out really quickly in the hot sun), I left it dangling in the water a few inches to give make sure it stayed wet…

I mean, how much harm could happen in 10 minutes while we waited for Luke to land his redfish?

Apparently quite a bit!

Check out what happens! Thankfully we had plenty of fresh water on board, not to mention, the Shimano Ci4 Stradic has sealed bearings so this reel should be ok long run (Note: I used it a fishing tournament this past week and it did great).

Enjoy the videos shown below:

When most 3-year olds are learning the ABC song, this little angler is giving fishing lessons.

The young man in this awesome video is Kellan Hunt. Little 3-yeard old Kellan baits his own hooks, he lands sharks, he nets sheepshead, and he even gives a lesson on rigging and tying knots.

Love it!

He also happens to be Capt. Scott Moore’s grandson.

Now if you don’t know who legendary angler Capt. Scott Moore is (you can see him in “The Complete List: 85 Must Know Florida Saltwater Anglers” here), he is one of the most respected captains in all of Florida.

He has put more people on fish in the west coast of Florida than almost any other captain.

And as you can imagine, fishing runs in his blood. In fact, Scott Moore’s son Justin was running one of Scott’s boats in Boca Grande at age 13.

By age 18, Justin officially had his captain’s license.

So when I found out that this little angler named Kellan Hunt was a grandson to Capt. Scott Moore, it all made sense (Kellan’s parents are Courtland Hunt and Kelly Moore Hunt – Scott’s daughter).

It’s like having John McEnroe as your grandfather if you were a young tennis prodigy.

I have a funny feeling this isn’t the last time we’ve heard the name Kellan Hunt associated with fishing.

Great job guys! Keep up the great work with this young gentleman.

Enjoy this awesome video.
