Never, under any circumstance, try to be funny and claim you have a magical fish bait that is the best in the world…

Why?

Because it is very clear that the fish gods will come and slap you back in place like they did this guy!

If you have spent any time studying the Bible, you know that Jesus was the ultimate Fisherman, and the ultimate “Fisher Of Men”.

Furthermore, many of the miracles he performed in the Bible involved fish and the water.

So when we saw this funny hidden camera video of a guy dressed up like Jesus pranking random people walking around the lake on his miracle fishing skills, we had to show it.

We think even Jesus would approve of this one.

This is probably the second best (or worse, depending on what side of the boat you are on) up close boat spray that we have seen here at Salt Strong…

The worst one being the viral video from a few months back when the “Speedo guy” picked a fight with a boat motor (you can watch that hilarious video here).

But at either rate, this young fellow probably learned a lesson to never sit behind a running boat motor… especially when the boat is manned by teenagers…

Except this time, they go air-based to get land-based to find new fishing ledges…

And apparently this is from a popular hit TV show called “Scandal”… I have never heard of it, but then again I don’t watch much TV…

Not really sure what the storyline of Scandal is, but I do know I like this one scene…

The second I saw it this week, I knew it was prime time for Freshwater Friday!

If you never saw the original video where BlacktipH and the “LakeForkGuy” go fishing for monster stingrays and The Lake Fork Guy slips, falls, and loses approximately $3,000 of equipment to the stingray, then you have to watch that video first right here.

The Cabo San Lucas Marina is one of the most well-known and famous marinas for sport fishing in the world.

On any given day, you will see more charter boats coming back into port with flags flying high for all of the billfish, tuna, and other sport fish that they landed that day than almost any other marina out there.

Yours truly even landed his first striped marlin out of the San Lucas Marina!

So when I saw this video of a nice striped marlin that was just cruising through this crazy busy marina (here is an aerial pic of the marina) chowing down sardines like it was an ordinary day, I knew it was going to be awesome!

Let’s face it, some days the redfish are biting, and some days they aren’t…

Anyone that has spent any time going after redfish has had those days where we try every lure in our tackle box, and the redfish just won’t eat.

Then again, there are days when redfish will hit practically anything you throw out there at em’…

We’ve seen a redfish hit a Lego, a pair of pliers, and a few other crazy household items.

But this is the first time we have seen the combo of a Walmart Barbie Rod and a Chicken Nugget from McDonalds!

Yep, that’s right, a McDonald’s Chicken McNugget!

In this video, Capt. Krista Tucker (follow her on Instagram here) is out fishing with Capt. Jamie Glasner (of Fin and Fly Charters) and they attempt to see if they can land a redfish using an inexpensive kid’s fishing rod and an age-old McDonald’s favorite… the chicken McNugget!
