If you have ever been fishing for wahoo, you know what an incredible fight these fish can put up…
You also know how great the wahoo meat tastes as well…
So when we saw this professionally done video from the guys aboard the 37′ Seahunter known as “Profishent” (what an awesome name for a boat and fishing team by the way).
Check out the two monster wahoo they double up on in this short film.
Enjoy!

We’ve been following Capt. Mike Goodwine (aka “Blackneck Adventures”) for quite some time…
From his long-fought “Free Mike Goodwine” battle with Facebook about having Capt. in his name (which Mike eventually won), to the mogan redfish and snook he is constantly posting on Facebook and Instagram…
Heck, we even got to meet the guy and have a drink with him at a private Guy Harvey party at ICAST this past year.
And I made the prediction that Blackneck Adventures would be one of the BIG names to watch in the upcoming years when I wrote the crazy viral post named, “The Complete List: 85 Must-Know Florida Saltwater Anglers” (see the full list here).
Last week Capt. Mike posted a beast of a redfish in the Salt Strong Fishing Tribe Facebook group that got a ton of comments and likes.
Of course, I couldn’t help notice that he had his 14-inch Salt Strong decal placed strategically in the front of his boat for pics (see below)
So I started wondering if Capt. Mike had any good videos of these monster redfish he keeps catching.
Well, it didn’t take me long to find a good one on YouTube.
Check out some of the redfish footage in this compilation below!
FYI, you can hire Blackneck to take you out and catch some monster inshore fish by contacting him here: Blackneckadventures@yahoo.com
Note: I told Capt. Mike that Luke and I will be taking him out fishing with us in 2016 so stay tuned for a fun video (and some monster fish).
Enjoy!

And some days its peacefully calm but you have reef sharks (aka the “Saltwater Tax Man”) coming up within feet of where you are standing to grab a free meal…
Check out the latest video from Morningtide Fishing below.
What a lucky fish!
Enjoy.

Videographer and drone expert Jason Ching nailed it on this one!
Talk about some amazing drone footage.
I’ve never seen anything like this with salmon, and I’m guessing no one else has either.
Here are Jason’s notes from the video:
Fly high above Lake Iliamna, Alaska, following the crew of the Alaska Salmon Program as they conduct sockeye salmon surveys during one of the largest migrations in recent history.

If you grew up anything like me, you probably watched a little bit (or a ton) of Jimmy Houston Outdoors on the weekends.
The guy is a living fishing legend no doubt!
In fact, he was one of the very few select freshwater anglers to make the coveted “The Complete List: 85 Must Know Saltwater Fishing Anglers In Florida” (you can see all 85 here).
And in this video below, Jimmy lands not one… not two… but THREE largemouth bass all in one cast.
Heck, one of them was a five pounder!
His quote, “I don’t even know how to land three bass” is a classic!
Every year “Boating Magazine” awards its top boating honor “Boat of the Year” towards the end of the year.
To win boat of the year, the magazine takes into account a variety of rankings such as:
Performance
Technology
State of the art features and amenities
Usability
How the boat rides
And many more (like can the boat sink…)
They test over 150 boats and they claim their selection process is pretty rigorous (and the boat must comply with all of the American Boat and Yacht Council standards).
Last year, the Chris Craft 36 walked away with the top honors.
This year the boat of the year just went to the unsinkable Boston Whaler 420 Outrage.
Certainly a beautiful boat (and certainly out of most people’s price range unfortunately).
So what do you think?
Any thoughts on which boat should have been boat of the year instead of this Boston Whaler?
Our friends over at Ocean of News think the Scout 42 is a much better choice (click here to see more pictures of the Boston Whaler over at Ocean of News)
Let us know in the comments and check out the video of the Boston Whaler 420 boat of the year below!
When I first saw this “Snook Spearfishing” video, I wasn’t sure if we were going to post it or not because of the reaction it might cause with Florida snook anglers like ourselves (even though it was a completely legal shot where this video occurred, and we have to assume that the diver was going to eat it for dinner).
But after doing a bit of research, I found a shocking amount of illegal snook spearfishing happens here in our own state of Florida every year!
From snook poaching, to newbies that just don’t know the rules, to tourists that don’t realize we have different rules on how to catch snook, there have been numerous snook spearfishing incidents (like the guy arrested for spearfishing snook in Port Orange, Fl this August – you can read about it here).
So I wanted to use this video to raise awareness that it is ILLEGAL to spear snook in and around the state of Florida, and you can and will be ARRESTED if you spear snook in Florida.
This video came from somewhere in Brazil (the Snook is also called “Robalo” in many parts of South America), and the snook down in South America have completely different rules than we have here in the Sunshine State.
So for the diver in the video, great shot and enjoy your snook dinner.
For all of the up to date rules on spearfishing game fish in Florida (including the list of fish that are illegal to spear), check out the FWC rules here.
