This Is A Pretty “Killer” Way To End Your Day Spearfishing!
It’s not every day that you finish a long day of spearfishing and get a chance to swim alongside killer whales (aka Orcas). Heck, it’s not every day that you even see killer whales!
But that is exactly what recently happened to New Zealand spearfishermen Sam Galloway and his mate. These guys had the unbelievable experience of diving with killer whales as if they were in Sea World or something!
Here are his notes from the video:
While out for a spearfish/cray dive at Little Barrier, a pod of Orcas (Killer Whales) came cruising past us. We saw them twice as they did laps of the island, hunting stingray in the shallows. The larger ones weren’t very interested in us but the calves came in for a close look.
Have you ever had an experience like this with a wild whale or something similar? Let us know in the comments.
