Chad Knoerr I live in Treasure Island FL and love to fish, Inshore I target Tarpon, Snook, and Redfish while offshore I love Kingfish, Permit, and Grouper. While I've fished on and off my whole life growing up in Florida, I've only recently have become obsessed with it.  Being new to the obsession I am always interested in learning from others and am always looking to share what I know with beginners like me.  In the past year, I've fished most of the spring and fall Kingfish tournaments and am happy to say my humble goal of "just weighing a fish" has been met in all of the King of the Beach tournaments I've been part of.  Always weighing in the mid 25 pound range I have yet to finish in the money but am optimistic that it will happen. Last Summer was my first Tarpon season and I'm well and truly hooked.  I hired a captain to learn the ropes and finished the season in 2015 jumping 16 Tarpon and landing 9 by myself.  I'm happy with those results and want to blow that number out of the water this season. I look forward to posting pic and seeing pics as we enter the summer of '16.

I am always looking to learn and share what I’ve learned with others.  I jumped head first into fishing about a year and a half ago when I moved on to the water and got an inshore boat, 22 Sabalo Bay Boat.  I love this boat as it draws 8-10 inches, has a tower, trolling motor, Talon, and Porta-Bracket.  It can get just about anywhere the fish are.  This is my Tarpon, Snook, and Redfish boat.  I was using it for Kingfish until the weather go sporty and I decided I needed something better suited for offshore conditions during the Spring and Fall Kingfish migration.  So I added a 32 SeaVee to the mix.

I’m always reading and learning about fishing and hope I can share some of my new found knowledge with the Salt Strong Tribe.
