I'm currently a Civil Engineering student at the University of Lafayette. I will be moving into coastal engineering when I get through some of the courses my business degrees didn't cover. This has SERIOUSLY placed constraints on my fishing habits. Louisiana is in crisis mode right now with the current rate of wetlands loss. Here are some great links for more information on what's being done and how you can get involved. http://coastal.la.gov/ http://coastal.la.gov/resources/library/ http://pubs.usgs.gov/fs/la-wetlands/ The easiest way to affect change in your area is to join CCA. They put money into coastal conservation across the country. Sorry for no pics lately, maybe I'll get to Grand Isle while bulls are running. Show y'all what red fishing is supposed to look like.
