So I've got my light weight Rod in my hand with a 4000 penn conflict, fishing snook.. This guy rolls about 20ft from the boat.. I cast just for the heck of it, he slams the bait and takes off! Luckily I was able to tame him and get a release.

Night time on a 9 1/2 ft kayak as a thunderstorm is approaching i feel my yak go side down and a scream of drag takes off, i look over and before i can grab my rod from the rod holder i see a tarpon clearing my yak and myself 5 feet away then he takes off and the fight is on! 5 minutes of fighting with 9 full on aerial leaps from the water thrashing its head about to spit my hook i kept going until he got to tired to fight anymore then onto a nice smooth netting, a couple snapshots and then a successful release is all in a nights fishing trip. Good times
