First of all, huge thanks to our friend “LifesaBeach” for sharing this with us on Twitter.

Secondly, the pictures below might be too graphic for any of you that can’t stand seeing one of the many dark sides of nature…(warning disclaimer)

If you are still with me, what we have here is a redfish (known to be opportunistic eaters) that made the mistake of trying to eat a turtle a little too big for his mouth…

According to user “23Sailfish” on the Charleston Fishing Forum that stumbled upon this redfish laying belly up in the water:

“This 32” redfish had eyes bigger than his stomach. He had tried to take on this large turtle and it was all over from there. The turtle was about 10″ long from tail to head and when the redfish tried to consume him, the backside of the shell got stuck in those few little upper teeth that redfish have and the turtle got stuck. The redfish choked to death on his last meal that he never got to enjoy.”

Well, unfortunately, this redfish that attempted to eat a turtle didn’t end well for either of them. We hate seeing two beautiful animals die, but we also remind ourselves that this is just part of everyday nature.

However, unlike humans, I doubt any redfish learned from this mistake…

On a positive note, if you want to learn how to catch more “alive” redfish, then check out “3 Shortcuts To Catching Redfish Like A Pro” (see it here now)

how to catch redfish

This has to be one of the most amazing saltwater videos we have seen this year!

Not only does this incredibly smart dolphin capture over six redfish in less than a foot of water (over a sharp oyster bed might I add), but she then teaches each of her dolphin calves how to catch redfish as well.

And then they go repeat what they just saw their smart dolphin mom do by capturing more redfish for dinner.

In the dolphin world, they call this pinwheeling.

I have to be honest, we didn’t anticipate coming across a video that had a chance of going more viral than the video “Dolphin Captures Snook of Film“, but this one blows that video away.

Incredible footage and an excellent job of narrating Captain Chad!

Don’t forget to share this if you found it as amazing as we did.

Enjoy.
