Holy Manatee Slap!

Just wait until you see how ticked off this manatee is at this angler.

We feel like we have seen more crazy Manatee videos over the last year than we have the prior ten years!

Are these sea cows finally fighting back and showing their tough side, or is it just that everyone has a GoPro strapped to their head or boat that is capturing every moment out on the water?

Either way, good job manatees…

Do you know what “Cow Tipping” is?

“Cow Tipping” became much more well known in America when the hit movie “Tommy Boy” was released. If you never saw “Tommy Boy”, it was the comedy where Chris Farley attempts to show his new “step-brother” (played by Rob Lowe) how to “Tip over” unsuspecting cows while they are sleeping” (you can watch that here).

At any rate, this video below is just the opposite, which is why it is called “Sea Cows go Human Tipping”.

Human Tipping is what happens when Sea Cows (aka Manatees) tip over unsuspecting paddleboarders and knock them in the water. And from the looks of it, there are quite a few ticked off Manatees in the bunch… and they give this guy quite a wake-up!

At the very end, you can see just how shallow the water was where this occurred. Pretty Wild Video!

No, this is not the girly-girl screaming like she was getting attacked by a manatee video…

That video was so “un-Strong” that we had a tough time even watching the entire thing, let alone risk putting it on our site.

In this video, it appears as if a man and his kids are in their kayaks, trying to get close to a group of manatees in a small harbour.

What they don’t realize is that they are trying to get close to a mama manatee and her calves, and mother manatees don’t exactly like it when you get too close to their babies…

In fact, that is usually the only time you will see manatees get this aggressive.

Thankfully one couple in their sailboat had the camera rolling, and we all get to see a different side of the manatee.

Not to mention, we all get to learn a lesson…

Don’t get too close to a mother manatee and her calves…you just might get the TAIL!

P.S. – Don’t stop watching after the first manatee attack…it doesn’t end there…the mother manatee comes back for another round!
