Hey Capt, great job as usual! I’m researching a set up for larger fish (tarpon/cobia) and have decided on a 6000 size reel. Is about an 8′ rod, heavy power and fast action a good choice to pair up with?
Enjoyed this video series. I fish for Cobia a lot and use Eels for live bait exclusively. On almost every trip I would pull a hook on at least one fish sometimes more than one. I always sharpen my hooks before each trip and I have tried several different brands and sizes.. I tried the Big River Bend bait hook as suggested in this series and went 5 for 5 with NO pulled hooks. That tip was worth the price of joining SaltStrong.com. Thank you.

Update…went again yesterday…caught 3 more fish no pulled hooks. So we’re 8 for 8 now. Thanks Saltstrong!
