Why This “Pier Angler” Might Be The Most Accurate Caster In The World!

So you thought everyone in San Diego is always friendly because of the near-perfect weather?

Well think again!

Apparently nothing ticks off a serious angler (especially a pier angler) more than a noisy drone flying over them and disturbing their peaceful time fishing…

Regarding the subject of drones flying near anglers, let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

Because on one hand, a drone can capture some of the most amazing aerial fishing footage like it did the in the fishing music video, “Fishing In Our Soul” (watch that here). And 15 years ago, the only way to get the unbelievable aerial footage for a music video like that was to hire a helicopter for the day. So on a personal level, we greatly appreciate drone footage here at Salt Strong.

On the other hand, I can see where some anglers don’t like drones around when they are fishing. Drones can be very noisy and distracting when they come in at close range, and when out of range, most people don’t like to feel like they are being spied on from up above.

But regardless of who is right and who is wrong in this video, one thing is for certain…

This angler has AMAZING AIM!

If you’re that close your too close! Your the asshole disturbing people while they’re fishing! In Texas you could be fined $2500 under hurassment of sportsman act!

Nothing wrong with using a drone to find new spots, but employ some consideration when doing so. We would not walk up next to a guy fishing and turn on a loud radio. One can a fly a drone where there are no fisherman or people, it’s a big world woth a lot of coastline, or be a dope and fly it at your own risk.

He should have snatched the GD thing out of the sky!! Way to go, bud! If i’m fishing on a pier, the only thing I want to hear is the surf and seagulls, NOT a f***ing drone!!

“On the other hand, drones can be very noisy when they come in close, not to mention people don’t like to feel like they are being spied on.”
Yes when it comes to being “spied on” theres nothing better to do that with then a “very noisy” object clearly being seen out in the open on a public access area.
