BUSTED!

You guys got me.

Last Friday I was so preoccupied with launching the hit music video “Fishing In Our Soul” (see it here) that I completely forgot about the notorious “Freshwater Friday” fishing video.

And a couple of you called me out on it this weekend.

So here is a Happy Humpday Freshwater Wednesday video for you.

It’s a pretty intriguing video because it has a young kid catching a sunfish with a 3D printed fishing rod, and many people are saying that 3D printing could be the future for fishing rods, artificial lures, and even reels.

What do you think? Is this the future of fishing gear?

All I know is they better learn how to make larger rods if they plan on getting me to use one…

P.S. – If you think your fishing friends would like this, then please Tag them or Share this with them. You Rock! 3D POW!

I can only imagine this video and poll will cause a few Chevy vs Ford discussions…

Why?

Well I won’t ruin the entire story for you, but let’s just say a Chevy truck has the opportunity to save a Ford truck that is stuck out in the saltwater, and I will let you see for yourself if the Chevy had enough fishing/towing power.

I came across this video below because my brother Luke is actually looking at buying a new Ford Truck (and I have driven a Chevy for the past 14 years). So of course, I had to send this to him.

Enjoy and please let me know which truck you think is better in the truck poll below.

Please Take The Ford or Chevy Poll (only takes one click)

P.S. – If you have a friend that drives a Chevy or Ford that would like to see this, please Tag them or Share it with them. Pa-POW!

I saw this amazing video a little while ago, laughed my tail off, and then accidently forgot to add it to our list of Viral Videos… Cripes!

Thankfully, Luke re-sent it over to me this weekend, and now it is getting the glory it deserves as it certainly is the best boat docking video out there.

Here is the scoop:

This video was made for AV-OG-TIL (a Norwegian organization), who’s aim is to reduce the harmful effects of alcohol and intoxication while operating a boat, driving a car, when pregnant, or hanging out together with young kids. Their conclusion is that docking a boat is an art form best practiced sober… like a BOSS.

And anyone that can pull this kind of boat docking maneuver is certainly Salt Strong.

This is proof that Aussies are extreme at just about every sport they partake in…

This is also some proof that this catamaran is Salt Strong.

Wait until you see what the captain of this $500,000 catamaran does to avoid having to go around a longer route.

Insanity.

I still can’t believe he pulled it off.

Fishing Fails just don’t get much better (or worse depending on who you ask) than this video below of two girls playing “Pin The Catfish”. The modern version of pin the tail on the donkey…

What really surprises me is the small percentage of Americans that realize catfish can really mess you up!

And NO, catfish do not “sting” you.

And NO, catfish “whiskers” cannot hurt you either.

So how to do the catfish inflict their pain?

Well, the catfish dorsal fin (the one on top) and the two pectoral fins (one on each side) are razor sharp, especially on channel cats and the smaller catfish like in the video below.

And these catfish spines on their fins can puncture your skin just as easy as any doctor’s sharp needle. What happens is that the spines on the dorsal and pectoral fins contain a venom that can cause severe swelling along with a hemolytic (causes increased blood flow in the area of the injury) when you get pricked by the fin.

In other words, don’t mess around with catfish.

We apologize in advance for any “Adult Language”.

Let’s face it, holiday weekends (like the 4th of July) are when the national waterways become a circus.

It’s like anyone and everyone that owns anything that floats is bringing their boat/kayak/paddleboard/canoe/dinghy out to congest the waterways and wreak havoc.

Of course, the holidays are also when mass quantities of alcohol are being consumed, and it usually doesn’t take much for some bad ideas to start happening while intoxicated on a boat (trust me, I know from past experience(s)…)

So before you go out enjoy the holiday weekend in a boat, check out these amazing boating fails so you know what to watch out for. And as you will see in this boating fail video compilation, the majority of these fails involve alcohol combined with a few bad ideas.

Don’t be that guy or gal. Don’t be a Googan!

And definitely laugh at your grandmother or say “In The Face” when she gets hit in the face with a fish! Haha.

Welcome to another Freshwater Friday!

Before we get into today’s amazing video, here is a brief look at the Top 3 most shared Freshwater Friday videos over the past couple of months:

  1. “Largemouth Bass Eats Alligator Caught on Film!” (watch it here)
  2. “The Fishing Video That Will Have You Dying to go Skarping” (watch it here)
  3. “What Happens When You Grab Bug Spray Instead of Starter Fluid” (watch it here)

Now back to the main attraction for the day.

In this video below, Craig Johring is out enjoying a nice day in his canoe on the Platte River near South Bend, Nebraska when he has a wild surprise.

As he enters a small area in the river, the carp start to go nuts, they start jumping everywhere, and before you know it, he has caught 9 carp in less than a minute!

All without a fishing rod!

Not a bad day on the water my friend!

Enjoy.

If you learn any lesson from this post it should be something along these lines…

“Don’t ever post a picture of your girlfriend and ASK the Internet to photoshop something on it”

The Chive reported on this pretty hilarious scene from the Internet where a guy posted a picture of his “girlfriend” (although I sincerely doubt this is his girlfriend), asking photoshoppers far and wide if they could make the picture look like she had caught a bigger fish (click here for the original article on Chive).

Of course, the first photoshopper responded with a funny picture, the crowd piled it on, and the rest is Internet history below.

Here is the original picture that was submitted by the “boyfriend”

We have had some pretty funny dog videos on here so far this year, and this one is up at the top of my favorites.

You’ve just got to love a dog that has absolutely no fear!

Before we get into the latest awesome dog video, here are two of my past favorite dog-fishing videos:

In the video below, a dog named “Bella” chases a dolphin (with what appears to be a frisbee in her mouth), while her friend Max stays on the boat and shouts out directions on the dolphin whereabouts.

Talk about a team!

And of course, the guy is making the girl go and do the hard work while he yells out directions…

Hope you enjoy, and please Tag or Share with a dog lover. You Rock!
