When I think of Tampa Bay Fishing, the last thing that comes to mind is Hillsborough Avenue…

But this past week we have had hurricane-like rain here in Tampa, so much so that the streets were flooded, people were using their jet skis and kayaks in the road, many cars were flooded, and there was even a little street fishing…

Check out what the news caught on tape below while they were reporting the Tampa floods.

This guy clearly was not supposed to be part of the news, but kind of hard not to feature this as it is certainly cooler than anything a meteorologist could do.

And did anyone notice the huge inner tube party behind him? WTH?

The best question was that of the news anchor: “I wonder if he needs a fishing license for that?”

Who the heck knows!

I never thought I would see what you are about to witness below… Motorbike Surfing.

And not just any motorbike surfing.

Just wait until you see what FMX legend Robbie “Maddo” Maddison does in this BRAND NEW video he did in conjunction with DC shoes.

And wait until you see the drone footage of Robbie Maddison cruising over a small island at the 1:35 mark!

DC presents Robbie “Maddo” Maddison’s “Pipe Dream,” giving the world a chance to witness history being made as Maddo rides his dirt bike on the powerful and iconic waves of Tahiti. From his helmet to motocross boots, Maddo was dressed for FMX when he took his dirt bike into the unchartered saltwater terrain of the Pacific Ocean in French Polynesia.

For nearly two years Robbie has been focused on making surfing on his motorbike a reality. His efforts paid off in Tahiti, where he rode the world famous waves at Teahupoo and Papara.

Make sure to watch until the very end. The last scene will give you goosebumps!

If you thought the song “My Milkshake Brings All The Boys To The Yard” by Kelis was bad, then you haven’t seen anything yet…

Although I debated telling you this (for those of you that don’t know me), the guy with the mustache singing while fishing in this video below is none other than me (Joe Simonds).

And quite honestly, I had completely forgotten about this short clip that we filmed back in January while fishing around Boca Grande, FL until one of our viewers reminded me about it.

The only good news was that he said it had him laughing for the entire day, and that we would be crazy not to feature it.

So here goes nothing…

No one ever said Goliath Grouper fishing was easy…

These monster fish can weigh upwards of 800lbs, they can snap big game fishing rods right in half (like they do in this video), and they can be incredibly tough to land if you don’t know what you are doing.

They can also be incredibly tough to land from a kayak (or paddleboard if anyone has tried that yet).

Watch what happens as Capt. Ben Chancey’s buddy attempts to land a Goliath Grouper from a kayak.

And check out that big Goliath pulling him around like a rag doll once he gets back in the kayak.

Happy Freshwater Fishing Friday!

I am willing to bet that you watch this hilarious carp video below at least two times (if not 5 times like me)…

And I’m still not really sure which part is funnier, the carp going crazy or the guy laughing at the end (which is why I say you need your speakers on).

Patrick Rhea of LivitFilms and his drone flying stud partner Nick Shirghio have done it again!

They have somehow produced back to back saltwater inshore fishing video masterpieces that certainly land each of the videos up in the rankings of top inshore fishing videos of all time.

After coming off a Grand Slam hit video called, “Fishing in our Soul” with Jill’s Cashbox featuring Salt Strong (in our humble opinion the best saltwater inshore video of all time), Patrick and Nick Shirghio hit another home run with Eleven Angling: Bluemoon Expeditions out of Islamorada, Florida with their fly fishing video at the bottom of this page.

Just wait until you see the tarpon footage! Amazing.

It’s a Fact: Men with beards can do things that non-bearded men can’t do.

Small feats such as catching fish faster, drinking beer faster, and even swimming faster all happen when boys become men and grow facial hair known as beards.

And as you will see in the video below, beards also enable men to do things like catching trout with your bare hands.

Regardless if this was staged or not, Doug the bearded angler is the Man!

If you have ever spent any amount of time fishing, then you have probably either personally said or heard someone else say, “It was like fishing with dynamite out there”. Or perhaps on a day where you see tons of fish but can’t get them to bite, “The only way we are getting these fish in our boat is with a hand grenade”.

Well turns out the Russians wanted to actually test this out and beat America at hand grenade fishing, so they gave it a whirl with two of their most qualified men.

I won’t ruin what happens, but let’s just say you want to stick around for the full video to watch the scene in Sl0-mo as well.

Speechless.

However, all credibility is quickly lost when you find yourself with a crab hanging from your tongue as you cringe in pain…

Not sure what this guy was thinking, but glad he decided to stick his tongue out at a crab as we all got a good laugh at his expense.

Perhaps he was learning how to kiss…
