Just wait until you see what breaks the very last angler’s rod!

I am still laughing as I write this.

Not much to say here except watch and enjoy…

And hope you never make the next Fishing Rod Breaking Compilation!

Fish On!

P.S. – Which rod break was your favorite? Let us know in the comments. POW!

Apparently sea lions are the jesters of the sea…

It wasn’t all that long ago when we showed the sea lion “punking” the angler at the dock by coming out of nowhere and ripping the Mahi from the guy’s hands while he was taking a picture with his prized fish (see that video here).

And now in this video, a sea lion near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico has found a great way to get a free meal…

I can only assume that chasing down a boat, hijacking it from the back, and coming in for dinner beats chasing down a fast moving fish.

Not to mention, he is now a YouTube sensation.

Enjoy this amazing sea lion steals fish video!

And if you like this vide, please SHARE with someone you think would like this. POW!

I spent a few months down in New Zealand in 2001. It was an over the top amazing time to say the least, and I came away with a newfound respect and admiration for the “Kiwis” (the Kiwi is the national symbol and bird of New Zealand and what the local reverently call themselves).

These incredible free-spirited Kiwis know how to have a great time, they take nothing for granted, and they are always ready to entertain.

And Matt Watson of “The Fishing Show” not only fits the description of the Kiwi above, but he takes it to an entire new level!

In this video, Matt takes a dead baitfish and feeds a stingray (and some other local fish) using his mouth!

What a nut!

However Matt Watson = Salt Strong

This will probably be the coolest thing you see all day!!!

I know that it was for me…

Who would never have guessed in a hundred years that someone would be catching a Snook while soaring on a water jet pack (aka flyboard – aka jetlev).

Well this guy named Hunter Skipper not only thought it could happen, he set out to prove it in this freaking amazing snook video.

Hunter shows us how it is done as he lands a nice snook while up in the air, moving around like a branch in a hurricane, all from the “comfort” of his water jet flyboard.

This is certainly flyboard snook fishing at its finest (simply because we have no other flyboard fishing videos to compare it to).

If you like it as much as we did, PLEASE SHARE it with a friend (or two). You Rock! Pow!

While we were out fishing with our Wounded Warrior friend Scott Lilley (check out the epic footage from the 4 days fishing with Wounded Warrior Scott here), Scott landed a really nice sea trout.

And while Luke was grabbing the line about to pull up the sea trout, the trout did one last head shake to try to get free…while at the same time…

PUKING!

No joke.

We were fishing with 5″ threadfins, so when we saw this half-digested mullet fly out of the trout’s mouth, we were all a bit stunned.

Another crazy day on the water!

Fortunately for the trout, he was released…although going back to the water a bit lighter…

You only need to watch the first two minutes of this video above to get the gist of what dolphins are doing to get “high”.

But you’ve really got to see the full video from the Discovery Channel below about how Teenage Dolphins are getting High off of Pufferfish Toxins.

And you thought it was just teenage kids that were the problem…

If it hadn’t been for the actual Discovery Channel featuring this, we aren’t sure that we would have believed it.

Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment and don’t forget to share this wild story with your friends.

If you are on a laptop or desktop, you will be able to watch the Discovery Channel version of this below.

But unfortunately they created this video in Flash, so Mobile Users will NOT be able to see this below.

Let’s face it, most of us saltwater anglers started off fishing in freshwater first (for me it was as a young kid lake fishing for blue gills in Winter Haven, FL).

And one of my fondest memories as a young kid was heading to Lake Hatchineha, FL where my grandfather had a small cabin on a canal, with a big ol’ pontoon boat that we would take out to catch bass, blue gills, and catfish.

So when my friend Nic Turner sent me this video of the world’s fastest pontoon boat, I just had to post it (even though I know it isn’t technically Salt Water).

We have two videos on this incredibly fast pontoon boat (one from the inside of the boat and one from an areial view).

Hope you Enjoy!

The World’s Fastest Pontoon Boat

Some background on this pontoon boat:

  • It is owned by Brad Rowland.
  • It really does go 114 miles per hour
  • It has triple Mercury Pro Max 300 HP engines
  • It screams on the water!
  • To see the inside of this pontoon boat and to get a feel of what it feels like going over 100MPH in this thing, check out this video below.

Video #2 of Fastest Pontoon Boat

Darcizzle (from Darcizzle Offshore) is setting the bar high for female anglers of all ages…

We had the pleasure of interviewing Darcizzle recently (stay tuned later this week for the full interview – it is awesome), and we loved the fact that one of her main goals is not just to catch tons of fish, but to help empower and teach women of all ages how to get out there and have a blast catching fish.

And clearly, Darcizzle can do it all when it comes to fishing.

In this video, Darcizzle counts down her Top 5 Cast Net Pancakes (even one cast net toss in high heels).

Well done Darcizzle, and keep up the great content!

Check out Darcizzle Offshore here on YouTube.

This is the combination of the following three things…

  1. An avid fisherman always looking for ways to cast farther
  2. The same avid fisherman that has an “A-Ha” moment after using a potato gun launcher
  3. Beer

If you like fishing, you’ve got to check out this fishing cannon called the “SandBlaster BaitCaster”.

It can launch your bait out 300 yards with the simple click of a switch, getting your bait out farther (to catch the big boys).

A big thanks to Ryan Martin of Savannah for shooting this one over.
