Everyone loves a 2-for-1 deal!

And our kayak angler friend Zoffinger (check out his YouTube channel here) got a great two for one deal with a pair of jacks (not to be confused with a card hand).

But the most impressive thing was watching Zoffinger dehooking these two jacks from the treble hooks without spilling his beer!

If it had been me, I can almost guarantee my rod would have knocked over my drink during the release.

Well done Zoffinger!

Another great video man.

Enjoy.

It’s one thing for the guys that created the “Redfish Strong” performance fishing shirt to claim it is amazing…

But it’s an entirely different thing when an angler from a different state (Louisiana) that we have never met says that the shirt is amazing…

Strong Angler Jacob Cantrelle from Louisiana was one of the first to get his hands on the 9-Spot “Redfish Strong” performance fishing shirt.

Here is the video he sent in showing how he did on a quick trip out in his kayak.

Needless to say, Jacob will be wearing his Redfish Strong shirt on the flats quite a bit this year…

Thanks for sharing Jacob!

Looking Salt Strong brother!

And great job of incorporating the Pa-POW! in there.

Enjoy.

Regardless of where you live in the world, the one bond that can almost instantly get an angler’s attention is a fishing story.

I have met complete strangers in my travels over the years, and all barriers of culture, class, and color are thrown out the door when you meet a fellow angler and start exchanging stories…

So when I came across this kayak fishing story from Australian saltwater kayak angler Rokkit Kit, I knew that I was going to like it.

And very cool to see this guy trolling for some monster fish from the yak!

He does an amazing job of telling (and explaining) why he is so passionate about saltwater kayak fishing, including how he continued to keep finding fish after moving to an entire new area of Australia.

Enjoy!

A couple of weeks ago we posted an incredible kayak redfish video from Strong Angler Brandon Barton called, “Now This Is How You Catch Some Monster Redfish From A Kayak” (you can watch it here)

And after checking out some of Brandon’s other videos, we came across one of him accidentally hooking into an osprey that pounced on his lure.

I’ve personally had a few birds drop down and hit my lure over the years, but I’ve never hooked an osprey!

Check out what Brandon has to do to free this bird.

What a save!

I’m not sure I would want my fingers that close to an osprey’s mouth, but it appears as though the osprey knew that he was helping.

Pretty cool!

Check out this amazing redfish kayak footage that Strong Angler Brandon Barton sent in to us over the weekend.

It made me want to head down to Boca Grande (where I keep my kayak) and hit the backcountry.

Talk about some nice redfish landed from a yak!

One of those redfish looked like he barked at the camera…

Well done Brandon! One heck of a redfish compilation.

And if you are wondering what the cameras were doing around the 45-second mark, they were filming for the Hobie Outdoors Adventure show on NBC sports (The IFA kayak tour championship in Louisiana).

Enjoy.

Great job Jessica. Keep up the great work.

Earlier this week, we posted a fishing video that went VIRAL where a fishing captain used a jalapeno pepper to catch redfish (you can watch it here)!

So when we came across this kayak angler using nothing but a shoestring and a hook to catch jack crevalle, we had to post it.

And to clarify, he wasn’t using a shoestring as the fishing line, he was using it as the bait!

Talk about catching fish on a shoestring budget!

Oh Snap!

The angler in the video runs the kayak fishing group “Love Kayak Fishing” and you can follow him here on Facebook.

Enjoy.

Kayak Kevin is the man.

He is the “Survivorman” of the fishing world…

A “reel guy” that is out there by himself, no deck hands, no cameramen, no help.

And watching him weave in and out of other boats all while fighting a beast of a red drum gives you some respect for this monster catch.

Well done Kevin!

That is a monster 53-inch red drum!

And it was good to see the redfish swim off at the end after the long fight.

Team Googan (aka “Poseidon” – god of the sea and protector of all saltwater life) is no stranger to being featured on Salt Strong.

In fact, I think this is his 5th or 6th video that has made it as one of our Salt Strong featured videos.

And in this video, Team Googan puts all of his best stuff in the Ultimate “Run That Dog” Compilation…

Some of the fishing footage is from the actual South Florida Mullet Run, while others parts of from Team Googan showing how he catches monster fish year round in South Florida.

He’s kind of like the Honey Badger… Team Googan don’t care… he’ll catch fish any time of year…

Make sure to watch until the end as this video keeps getting better and better.

Another great video Team Googan!
