The first successful hook, fight and release of a Striped Marlin on a Stand-Up Paddleboard was achieved by Carl Schroderer back in 2008. Here is the entire footage.

Sightfishing Redfish In Cocoa Florida’s No Motor Zone.
What an amazing time this guy had fishing out on his paddle board (In the Destin Fishing Rodeo 2012 – a fishing tournament in Destin, FL)
After his buddy brings in a small shark, Captain Lance lands a huge sailfish on his stand up paddle board.
This of course was after being towed 6 miles out at see by the sailfish.
The coolest part is when he comes back into the marina with the sailfish strapped on his paddle board, as he gets more than a warm welcome from the other anglers and audience.
I would also like to point out the product placement of our favorite day drinking/boat drinking beer, Busch Light (aka the “Blue Gill”).
Well done Lance!
That is how you land a huge sailfish form a paddle board in style!
In this two minute fishing video, the angler in the Hobie kayak hooks up with a great looking octopus.
Not to mention, they get some incredible underwater footage of the octopus as it comes up to the kayak.
The angler mentions that it fought so weird that he thought he was foul hooked or snagged on something.
This was filmed on a Kodak Playsport (Zx3).
While fishing off of Pompano Beach, FL, a group of fisherman ran into a toothy surprise in the form of a hungry/curious shark.
If you haven’t seen this video of a 300 pound marlin that tows a kayaker for over 11 miles.
The entire fight took over 5 hours to get in, and the video footage they were able to capture is amazing.
