Captain Ben Chancey of Chew on This has done it again!

After being the very first to document a Goliath Grouper catch from a kayak (watch that here), Capt. Ben took it to a whole new level by going after a monster Goliath on a paddleboard!

Amazing job getting back on the board (after being flipped off), and amazing feat no doubt.

Keep the big fish coming Capt. Chancey!

So we all know that Captain Ben Chancey of Chew on This is a stud fisherman…

Capt. Ben has caught more monster sharks, Goliath Grouper, and other Florida species of fish than most anglers alive…

But did you know his daughter catches bigger snook than most men do in their lifetime?

The 30lb snook caught by a Girl

In this video, Ben’s daughter Lexis lands a MONSTER 30lb snook using a Diawa Saltiga on a Cape Fear Rod.

Well done Lexis!

No one ever said Goliath Grouper fishing was easy…

These monster fish can weigh upwards of 800lbs, they can snap big game fishing rods right in half (like they do in this video), and they can be incredibly tough to land if you don’t know what you are doing.

They can also be incredibly tough to land from a kayak (or paddleboard if anyone has tried that yet).

Watch what happens as Capt. Ben Chancey’s buddy attempts to land a Goliath Grouper from a kayak.

And check out that big Goliath pulling him around like a rag doll once he gets back in the kayak.

#FAIL

It’s not every day that you get to see the prehistoric, dangerous, and highly endangered fish known as the sawfish.

In fact, very few anglers will ever catch a sawfish in their entire lives.

But as Captain Jim Willcox and Tyler Kapela found out while fishing for Goliath Grouper and Sharks, sometimes lady luck is on your side… in this case on both of their sides!

As you will see in the video, this sawfish actually eats both of their baits, so it was hooked two times!

And check out the sharp bill on this fish when they get a close up shot! At 12ft+ in total length, that bill could do some serious damage if it whipped on your leg or arm. Wowzers.

If you have ever caught a 7ft+ shark before, you know how much of a fight it can put up… especially on the beach at night when the shark can leverage sandbars and currents to its advantage.

Well this college girl was up for the task of catching a big shark one recent evening as she, her boyfriend, and her boyfriend’s buddy went out to see if they could get this gal Brook on a big shark at night.

I won’t ruin the ending for you, but let’s just say college student Brook Crist of the Landshark Crew was probably feeling some pain in her arms the next day…

Well done Landshark Fishing Crew!

And good to hear someone giving tips on a safe release in their videos.

When I saw that this brand new humpback whale video on YouTube was slowly starting to take off in terms of views and shares, I had to watch it.

And for the first few seconds I sat there scratching my head saying, “Well, this is pretty boring…”

And then it happened.

Pa-POW!!!!

Perhaps the craziest up close humpback whale breach ever recorded on film. I had to watch it a couple of times.

And check out the seagulls coming in for sloppy seconds on the bait the whales were going after. Awesome!

This footage was taken by Brad Rich while in Alaska this past week.

Well done!

And we apologize in advance for any language, but this was too good not to share (and his last comment is pretty hilarious).

Angler Ricardo Garcia is attempting to do what few have ever conquered…

Landing Goliath Grouper on Inshore tackle.

Here is what he is using:

  • Quantum Smoke Inshore Reel
  • Shimano Teramar 7″ Medium Action Rod
  • 20lb braided line
  • 40lb fluorocarbon leader
  • Small blue crab on a 2/0 Owner circle hook

For those of you that have ever been Big Game fishing, you know this is far from an ideal fishing outfit to land any sort of large, tough fighting fish.

But Ricardo went for it anyways.

And oh by the way, he is only about a mile and a half from the boat ramp, making this the Ultimate Inshore Fishing for Goliath Grouper”.

I won’t ruin what happens, but let’s just say Will Ferrell was right when he said Two Dragons are better than one…

Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, and Will Ferrell in the “Starsky & Hutch” Two Dragon Scene

Amazing Goliath Grouper video Ricardo. For anyone that has caught grouper of any size, you know it isn’t easy getting these fish into the boat on this kind of tackle.

You can see him hammering down on the drag and still no slowing down this strong fish.

Thank you for sending it in.

Josh Jorgensen of BlacktipH is no stranger to battling some of the biggest fish in the ocean.

In fact, he is one the most watched anglers in the world when it comes to catching Monster Sharks and Goliath Grouper.

Here are just a few of our favorite BlacktipH videos that made our home page:

  • “The Craziest Mullet Run Footage Ever Caught On Film” (watch it here)
  • “Catching Jacks So Big You Want To Kiss Them” (watch it here)
  • “Goliath Grouper SNAPS This Guy’s Rod In Half!” (watch it here)

And in this video below, Josh learns the hard way just how bad it feels when a big rod snaps right back on your face. Ouch!

Here are the details from Josh:

“Sloan from the Instagram account “redneckvideos” hooked up to a giant goliath grouper that swam under the boat. Josh was assisting sloan by holding the fishing rod. The line popped on the boat and the rod swung up and hit Josh under the chin. After a 20 minute break and a quick patch up job by Dan (Instagram “best_hunting_fails”) we were back fishing again! Later that night Josh got 5 stitches.”

Enjoy!

This is what you would call a Great White Shark that is “Big Boned“!

And yes, this is REAL!

Holy smokes, right.

The coolest part about this video is the diver gives this massive shark a “High-5” at about the 5-second mark.

Oh and did I mention the guy outside of the cage is CRAZY!

Here is the scoop this “Largest Great White Shark Ever“.

The monster shark, thought to be around 50 years old, measures 20 feet long and boasts the girth of a hippo.

The massive predator, nicknamed Deep Blue, was spotted in the waters near Mexico’s Guadalupe Island.

The shark, who is estimated to be around 50 years old, is believed to be one of the largest great white sharks ever seen.

She was featured last year in a Discovery network documentary after local researcher Mauricio Hoyos Padilla managed to tag her.

But Hoyos has posted new footage of Deep Blue that shows her come nail-bitingly close to a cage diver.

Hoyos posted the video on Facebook, under the title, “I give you the biggest white shark ever seen in front of the cages in Guadalupe Island… DEEP BLUE!!!”

The unbelievable footage shows the mammoth shark swimming around the cage, seemingly ignoring the divers in a roof-less steel cage.

One brave diver decides to swim out of the cage and reaches out to touch and high-5 the shark.

Another Shark Week masterpiece!
