Let’s just say that in the Maldives, fishermen do things a bit differently…

Who would have thought that a technique like this would work so well time and time again?

Pretty amazing to think that these “cane pole” fishermen can feed themselves, other families, and entire villages using this pole and line fishing technique.

And before you start thinking that these guys are taking a ton of tuna out of the water, keep watching the video and you will see just how sustainable and smart their fishing methods are for the ocean (and the locals).

We keep getting some incredible spearfishing videos sent to us to post, and I thought I had seen it all when it comes to spearing fish…

But then we saw this video…

Spearing Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) from a boat that is moving at a rapid pace…unbelievable.

Not sure if these guys have magical polarized glasses or if the dolphin are just really slow in the French Polynesian, but either way, we are impressed.

According to the video information, this was AFTCO Pro Oliver Emsallem down in the blue Tahitian waters of the French Polynesian.

Well done gents.

I have seen some pretty bad boat launch fails in my day.

From seeing people that have no clue how to back down a trailer, to cars and vans getting pulled back into the water, to trailers coming completely unhitched on the ramp…

But it isn’t often you get a front row seat at huge ship launch like this.

And I won’t ruin it for you, but this ship had a splintery launch…

The slow-mo version is wild!

We have been big fans of Rich Tudor and Tom Rowland, the two captains behind the saltwater force known as “Saltwater Experience” for quite some time.

These guys know how to catch fish, and they are always entertaining to watch.

In this episode of Saltwater Experience, Rich and Tom go after a massive hammerhead shark that had been attacking their tarpon in the Florida Keys.

After chumming up the waters around a popular bridge (Long Key Bridge) to catch tarpon, they finally spot a hammerhead…

And then another one…

As Tom is fighting a huge hammerhead, a couple other hammerhead sharks show up for a barracuda that Rich is holding out there.

The current is ripping through the bridge, and somehow they make it through the bridge with a 13 ft hammerhead and a unscratched Yellowfin boat

Then in part 2 of this video, Rich hooks into another huge hammerhead shark

Well done gents.

If you have ever had the opportunity to fish for Goliath Grouper, you know that they don’t come up easy most of the time.

These Goliath Grouper are massive fish with massive strength, and have even pulled numerous anglers in the water while trying to reel up the beast of a fish.

Not to mention, these monstrous fish usually have structure below them where they like to wedge themselves to make it almost impossible to get them up without breaking off or running out of steam.

So when we saw this small gal muscling up a nice Goliath Grouper, we had to post it.

This goes out to all of the men that have been pulled in the water by a Goliath Grouper…

Ever since falling in love with Florida flats-fishing many years ago, it is takes some big fish to get me excited to go out 30 miles or more to fish…

So when I saw that this diehard angler in New Zealand went out 30 Kilometers (each way) to go Jetski fishing, I had to watch.

Turned out to be pretty darn cool.

This guy catches a few different fish jigging some lures before landing a monster yellow tail kingfish.

And is it just me, or do all waverunners and jetskis come standard with depth/fish finders these days?
