If you are like me, watching snook underwater (or leaping out of the water to hit a topwater plug) never gets old.

So when I found this older footage of a diver stumbling upon an awesome snook hole (with one unlucky grouper) I had to share it.

As you will see, this a great “old school” video showing some awesome underwater footage of tons of big snook on a wreck off of Stuart, FL.

Some of the snook were absolute bruisers that would be close to impossible to pull out of that structure if hooked.

And at the beginning of the video, this diver even filmed a goliath grouper that had a pair of Boga grips latched to its jaw…

Important Note: Always be sure to latch your Boga grip to your wrist so you don’t let a fish swim off with them – especially when dealing with larger fish. Not only are you losing a $100 fishing device, but it is almost impossible for a fish to shake the Boga grip off by itself.

Would you ever dive down to the bottom of the Sebastian Inlet?

I can only imagine that these divers (Josh Rhein, Vaughn and Nikko) did this dive on an absolute perfect day (and slack tide) for the Inlet.

Because the last time I was fishing the Sebastian Inlet the water was incredibly choppy, not to mention, the water was ripping so fast through the pass that most boats were scared to go through it…

Also, the Sebastion Inlet has been known to hold a few bull sharks… or two… or one hundred…

If you aren’t familiar with the world famous Sebastian Inlet, it is about 12 miles north of Vero Beach, and it is one of the favorite land based (and boat based) spots for anglers to catch snook, redfish, tarpon, Spanish mackerel and just about anything else that swims through the inlet.

There are tons of places to fish the inlet from land, and anglers from all over the states (and even abroad) head over to Sebastian Inlet State Park every year to wet a line.

So when I saw that a couple of guys had the courage to free dive the Sebastian Inlet, I knew this was going to be good.

You will be blown away with how many snook are just hanging out down there!

Not to mention, some goliath grouper, mangrove snapper, cubera snapper, and even some lobster.

Fish On.

Wait til’ you see this big ol’ Goliath Grouper attacking a spearfisherman that had just plucked off a nice snapper.

This beast of a fish certainly shows the diver who is the boss of the bottom of the ocean!

I can only imagine the person filming this was just as shocked as he/she watched this big goliath come out of the blue and steal a free meal from the diver.

I bet they are still talking about this wild dive!

The lesson here: Never turn your back on these greedy aggressive grouper… luckily the only thing hurt was the diver’s pride… and perhaps a soiled wetsuit…

Fish On!

When Heather recently went Goliath Grouper fishing with our friends from Big Bully Outdoors, little did she know that she would be catching not one, but TWO Goliath Grouper!

And she probably didn’t know that the water was going to be so cold that day…

But when you land your very first Goliath, it’s part of the ritual to get in the water and take a pic with the giant fish (it is illegal to take the adult Goliath Grouper out of the water for any reason fyi).

Great job Heather!

Make sure to stick around for the full video as she goes handlining for another Goliath after her cold dip in the water.

I can’t make this bad luck bananas on board stuff up folks…

In that blog post, you will learn about all of the bad things that can happen to you if and when you decide to bring a banana on board your boat…

One of which is falling overboard…

The only good news in this video is that they actually retrieved the rod and reel, but it can only be because the banana had been discarded…

Earlier this morning, we posted a wild video of a Goliath Grouper not only stealing a spearfisherman’s catch, but dragging the diver along with him while he ran off with his spear (watch that video here).

So when we saw our friend Darcizzle (from Darcizzle Offshore) take on a Goliath Grouper for her first time, we had to share it with you.

Darcizzle had an incredibly easy time getting the monster fish up in just the first 30 seconds, but then the Goliath Grouper realized what was going on, and he made a serious run for the structure….

If you were one of the few that missed the Viral Fishing Video called, “This Is How You Land 43-inch Snook From One Of The Snookiest Fishing Piers In Florida Like a BOSS”, then make sure to check that video out next.

Why?

Well, it was part one of this two-part Juno Beach Pier snook fishing video with Ryan Izquierdo.

In the first video, Ryan and his teenage fishing buddies land monster snook after monster snook right off the pier (Juno Beach Pier).

And stay tuned til’ the end as these guys actually land a small Goliath Grouper as well.

Important Note: When handling big snook like this, always make sure to hold them with two hands (where your second hand is giving them stomach support). It will help ensure they live long after you release them.

People just can’t seem to get enough of the Goliath Grouper! Anytime there is a new video that even remotely involves a Goliath Grouper, it always seems to go Viral.

And I guess we can’t blame em, as watching someone try to reel in a massive fish like a Goliath Grouper is pretty addictive and contagious. It’s not every day that you get a chance to battle with a 300-700 pound beast of a fish!

It’s also pretty funny to see these massive fish “Slap” anglers, bite divers, and even break fishing rods…

Because of that, we put this epic Top 10 Goliath Grouper Video Catalog together. It is the absolute best Goliath Grouper videos we could find on the Internet… and we think you will agree.
