These young guys look they are having the time of their lives.

And who can blame them when they are catching so many monster fish out of canoes.

From what we can tell, these young guys come down to Florida from Wisconsin on spring break every year to do some hard-core fishing out of canoes.

And the two quotes in the beginning pretty much sum up this amazing “Extreme Canoe Fishing” video…

“We’re going to need a bigger boat”

and

“When my parents see this…”

Just wait until you see the all of the large sharks, tarpon (with some awesome slow-mo tarpon shots), barracuda, and jacks that they catch out of their canoes.

Great job of filming, catching, and keeping us entertained guys!

Wounded Warrior Scott Lilley is one lucky dude.

He is incredibly lucky to be alive after serving our country and losing a huge chunk of his skull/head to an explosive in Iraq.

And he is one incredibly lucky fisherman as well.

After picking Scott and his best friend Brandon Claussen (former MLB player) up at the docks around 4pm, we ended up only having an hour and a half to fish after dropping off their gear and giving them the full tour of our island living situation.

And when Scott told us that not only had he never been snook fishing, but he had never even seen a snook, Luke and I would have been happy just getting Scott on a small snook for his first evening of fishing…

But Scott had other plans…

Not only did he land a huge snook within 10 minutes of fishing, he landed a huge jack, and then one more big snook about 20 minutes after that.

In total, he brought in two slot snook (30 inch and 32 inch snook) all in the matter of an hour…all during his first time ever inshore fishing ever.

Amazing guy.

Amazing fishing.

Wounded Warrior Scott Lilley = Salt Strong

It’s rare that we ever post our own videos on this main Salt Strong page (in fact, I believe this is the first video we have ever posted on this main video board), but we had such a great day back in the Florida grass flats yesterday that we couldn’t help but show you.

This was a “Skinny Water Inshore Slam” (Snook, Redfish, and Trout) all on artificial lures…and all of this footage and fishing action was caught over a 3 hour period yesterday.

Pretty good considering when we finally hit the water for the day (at 3:30pm) we had on rain gear as it looked like it was going to storm again.

But the sun peaked its head, and we tour it up in less than 2 feet of water catching a big 31-inch redfish, tons of smaller reds, a handful of snook, and even a couple of trout.

And Andrew, the Salt Strong promoter and marketing manager, caught the biggest fish of his life.
