I’ve seen some big hammerheads, but I haven’t seen one this close to the beach before (and kind of glad about that).

It looked like it was up in less than 2 feet of water at one point when it went up towards the beach.

According to angler Fed Moore, this is an estimated 10ft Hammerhead Shark that was cruising along the Pensacola Pass near Fort Pickens.

Ironically, I was swimming with my kids at Pensacola beach not very far from this while it happened. But with the clarity of the water, and the size of the hammerhead, I am fairly certain every beachgoer would have seen this beast before it got too close.

Either way, great job getting the footage Mr. Moore, and glad you still have your trolling motor.

A few months back we posted a bluefish video that really took off.

And it wasn’t a surprise to me, the video was amazing. The guy had multiple cameras going (one on his head, one on his rod, one underwater, etc) and created a one-of-a-kind surf-fishing video called “When Bluefish Attack” (you can watch it here).

Since then, we really haven’t seen any bluefish videos come across our desk that we think have the ability to be a Viral Fishing Video.

But this bluefish video below does (especially for anyone that likes surf fishing, catching fish from the beach, or just likes catching the hard-fighting bluefish).

This video was filmed by Angry Fish contributor Chris Fabiano, and it takes place somewhere in New Jersey.

And it is clear to see they don’t lack baitfish on this beach… the anglers are literally surrounded by baitfish and probably stepped on a few by accident they are in stacked in there so deep.

Of course the bluefish are taking every possible advantage of this massive beach bait pod, so much so that there is bloodstained water everywhere.

Great job by Chris on getting the slo-mo of the bluefish nailing the topwater lures. Pretty sweet action!

At the very end, you can even see quite a few of the baitfish flopping on the beach as I guess they would rather die on land than getting sliced by a bluefish. Ouch!

P.S. – If you enjoyed this bluefish video, please tag a friend or share away. You Rock. Pa-POW!

Let’s face it, we’ve probably all had some sort of accident or “fishing fail’ while out fishing before. If you spend enough time on the water, you will eventually be involved in some fishing story that has your fishing buddies laughing…

Whether it be hooking yourself (or a friend), losing an anchor, getting your lure stuck in a mangrove, hooking the bottom of the seafloor, falling out of a boat, or perhaps even sinking a boat… the fishing fail possibilities are limitless.

The good news is that most of us are fortunate that there aren’t always cameras rolling when we made our goofs… but not this guy.

This blacktip shark fishing fail was recently captured on video when the LakeForkGuy did some blacktip shark fishing with none other than Josh Jorgensen of BlacktipH. And it just so happened that the Lake Fork Guy had his dad come along to enjoy some shark fishing… but little did his dad know that he would be the hit of the party.

Well I won’t ruin the fail for you, let’s just say the slow-mo footage is pretty spot on.

Make sure to listen to his dad’s “fishing story” of how the whole shark release fail went down. Pretty funny.

P.S. – Please Like and Share if you have ever had a fail while fishing. Or better yet, TAG a friend that has had a funny fishing fail. Fish On!

OUCH!

I have personally never been barbed (aka Stung) by a stingray, but I did watch my dad go through the pain and agony of having to remove a stingray barb that was lodged way up in his foot after pushing our boat off of a sandbar years ago… and it was painful to watch!

And to say that I want no part of feeling the pain of a stingray barb myself is an understatement. People describe it as feeling like your foot is on fire, and the pain doesn’t go away quickly.

Now although this video doesn’t have anyone actually fishing, it does give some helpful stingray tips if you are ever barbed by a stingray while out fishing or wading out in the saltwater. Not to mention, it helps newcomers to fishing understand the difference between a stingray and a flounder…

It is also smart to always do the “Stingray Shuffle” where you shuffle your feet in the sand while walking in the water. That way you never plop your foot right on top of a stingray barb. Will save you hours of excruciating pain (just ask anyone that has been barbed by a ray).

If you think your friends/network would find this useful, please share it with them – I’d really appreciate it.

Back in March we posted a video of a guy in a boat chasing down a drone that had lost connection with the owner’s remote control. It was the by far the best drone save video we had ever seen… (you can watch that video here)

That is until today.

The guy in the video is Ryan Chatfield, an amazing photographer and videographer. He also happens to be fast as lighting, as you will see in this video.

The HD footage on this is unreal, and I felt like I was running with him rooting him on the entire time.

Find out what happens in “The Ultimate Drone Save” video below.

Dolphin Surfing Video #2

This is incredibly rare marlin footage!

Why?

Because Blue Marlin are rarely ever spotted near the shore like this. Probably why one on-looker thought it was a shark at first.

Although this just hit the Internet in the past two days (so no one really knows the exact cause of this marlin’s erratic behavior), some locals say the marlin was sick.

It was certainly not “Retarded” as the guy behind the camera said. We debated even showing this video due to his poor choice of words, but we hope it will open your eyes to how inappropriate it sounds to call a person, animal, or anything “Retarded”.

Not cool.

At any rate, enjoy this amazingly rare blue marlin on beach footage, and don’t forget to SHARE with a friend!

And thanks to the Sailsmen Fishing Team for sharing this with us.

The ingredients for this simply awesome snook video:

  • (1) Shakespeare Spiderman Kid’s Fishing Rod
  • 8lb test braided line in the Spiderman Reel
  • 40lb test line leader
  • 5/0 circle hook
  • A handful of Finger Mullet
  • And (1) Googan (as defined by the Urban Dictionary, a “FishingGoogan” is a term for lowlife, shore (bank) fishermen who baitfish typically without a license, regard to regulations, and etiquette towards other people, especially other fishermen following the rules).

However, even though the angler in this video goes by the name “Team Googan”, it is clear that he can out-fish most anglers in Florida, with or without a spiderman fishing rod…

The results of these ingredients above?

Perhaps the most amazing Snook video we have seen this year.

Well done Team Googan!

Please SHARE this crazy video with a friend that loves Snook fishing! You Rock!

P.S. – If you didn’t see this same angler in the recent video “Miami Kayaker Catches A Snook Without A Fishing Rod”, then click here after you watch the video below.

Somebody give this guy a medal (or a junior doctor certificate) as he was the hero of the day on this beach!

Why?

Because this random man rescued three baby sharks from their dead mother’s belly!

After coming upon a dead shark on the beach, this amazing family noticed that something was moving in the shark’s stomach, so the man used a knife to cut into the stomach to see what it was..

And thankfully for today’s easy access to video cameras, the entire scene was caught on film!

Enjoy!

P.S. – Although ‘hatching’ within their mother and staying inside them for up to two years, sharks pups quickly swim away after being born to prevent being eaten by their mothers, so it’s safe to say the sharks have no disadvantage because of their beach birth as they are fully independent once born.
