Stuart Hayim is a a life saver…
Because not only does retired powerboat racing legend Stuart Hayim save his life (along with two others) by avoiding a deadly boat crash, but Stuart is also doing some big things in regards to saving lives by raising money for cancer research in this wild boat ride.
You see, this accident (all caught on film) happened during a Cancer Charity Event where Stuart was raising $250,000 to be donated to the Don Monti Foundation for cancer research (Don Monti was a 16-year old boy that lost his battle to cancer).
And Stuart Hayim, a cancer survivor himself, was attempting to break his own record in an attempt to not only raise money, but to provide hope & inspiration to others that are battling cancer.
Stuart certainly has some amazing reflexes still, and he and the crew are certainly lucky that he did a solid job of avoiding catastrophe at the last second.
Clearly a competitive guy that doesn’t like to lose, Stuart kept on the throttle in the fog to give every effort to raise the $250,000 for the cancer research.
Below is the on-board footage from when Stuart Hayim hitting a marker buoy while attempting an approx 150MPH world record run around Long Island.
Make sure to stick around until the end as they show the damage to the boat. Wow!
