It seems almost unbelievable, but this is an entirely different Tiger Shark encounter than the video we posted a month ago called “Tiger Shark Steals Camera, Shakes Off Diver, And Then Continues Filming” (watch it here).

And this is some pretty wild footage!

I won’t ruin it for you, but let’s just say you get a “Dentist” view of this big Tiger Shark’s mouth around the 3:30 mark.

And apparently the shark didn’t like the taste of film, as he quickly spits the camera out. Haha.

This great shark footage filmed By Stuart Cove and his team from Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas and documented with still photography by world-renowned underwater still photographer Stephen Frink.

No one ever said Goliath Grouper fishing was easy…

These monster fish can weigh upwards of 800lbs, they can snap big game fishing rods right in half (like they do in this video), and they can be incredibly tough to land if you don’t know what you are doing.

They can also be incredibly tough to land from a kayak (or paddleboard if anyone has tried that yet).

Watch what happens as Capt. Ben Chancey’s buddy attempts to land a Goliath Grouper from a kayak.

And check out that big Goliath pulling him around like a rag doll once he gets back in the kayak.

One of our personal favorite “Boating Strong” videos was “How To Dock A Boat Like A BOSS” (must watch here if you haven’t seen it).

And ever since then, we have been looking for a boating video (and a captain) that could match it…

Well, I think we found him.

This guy somehow managed to find himself in some nasty surf near San Francisco.

Here are the details:

This video was shot by Pete Koff in San Francisco Jan 19th 2013
The boat was a 35ft Donzi boat, the hull did get damaged and there were some pretty serious injuries on board. The owner just put $500 of work into the boat.
The wave is approx 15ft, so you could imagine how hard it came down the back of the wave. The boat stalled out for about 2 min after the jump, then jammed back into SF Bay like a champ.

A few months back, we published an amazing (and somewhat controversial) video from Stellwagen Media called “This Louisiana Video Claims To Have Better Fishing Than Florida!” (watch it here if you never saw it).

In that video, Stellwagen showed some amazing redfish footage out of Louisiana that was truly a work of art.

Well Stellwagen is back, and in this video below on “The Ultimate Fighting Trash Fish”, Stellwagen and director Nick Valaskatgis investigate why Jacks get such a bad rap when they are one of the best fighting fish in the water (pound for pound).

The even get to interview Bryan Holeman, who is apparently a “actual bear”.

My input is I hate catching Jacks when I have the perfect bait for another species such as a snook or cobia, and all of a sudden I feel the head bobbing pull of the notorious Jack Crevalle…

But if I ever want an amazing fight on light tackle, there is no better fish to target in the Gulf of Mexico than the hard fighting Jack.

Happy Freshwater Fishing Friday!

I am willing to bet that you watch this hilarious carp video below at least two times (if not 5 times like me)…

And I’m still not really sure which part is funnier, the carp going crazy or the guy laughing at the end (which is why I say you need your speakers on).

Enjoy this carp fishing fail and the epic laugh of the guy recording the video.

If you know who this guy is, let me know as I want to hire him to laugh during our funny fishing videos as he certainly has a contagious laugh!

Redfish Strong!

Check out this awesome skinny water redfish video from Chris Lewis of Skinny Water Culture.

In the video below, Chris is out fly fishing on his SUP (Stand up paddleboard for the layperson), and comes across a small school of redfish back in the skinny water of the Everglades.

Loved seeing the redfish take off leaving the mud dust trail behind.

Nice red, nice music, and nice video Chris!

It’s not every day that you get to see the prehistoric, dangerous, and highly endangered fish known as the sawfish.

In fact, very few anglers will ever catch a sawfish in their entire lives.

But as Captain Jim Willcox and Tyler Kapela found out while fishing for Goliath Grouper and Sharks, sometimes lady luck is on your side… in this case on both of their sides!

As you will see in the video, this sawfish actually eats both of their baits, so it was hooked two times!

And check out the sharp bill on this fish when they get a close up shot! At 12ft+ in total length, that bill could do some serious damage if it whipped on your leg or arm. Wowzers.

Can you imagine going spearfishing and coming up to the surface to see a big yacht zooming right by your dive flag?

What if it happened a second time where they yacht came incredibly close to running you over!

Sounds crazy, but this spearfisherman caught a wild scene on his GoPro while surfacing to get his next breath…

And it is a pretty darn scary scene.

Watch this video a couple of times to see just how close this big yacht comes to churning up some divers! I can only guess the captain had the boat on “auto-pilot” and wasn’t looking at what was ahead of him.

Scary stuff! Especially when you consider just how fast these yachts are moving, in conjunction with how deep their hulls go (so it isn’t as easy as ducking under the water a second or two before impact).

I grew up wakeboarding in Central Florida, and I was pretty good for an amateur wakeboarder.

And I can vividly recall some of the crazy (aka dumb) things we did as teenagers once we ran out of tricks that we knew how to do…

We would sling each other on land, we would jump Cypress Gardens ski jumps, and we even would see how far back we could get our friend Richard way back into the cattails going 40 miles per hour before getting hit enough in the face you had to let go of the rope (he was the only one bold enough to try it).

So when I saw this extreme wakeboarding video of Pro Wakeboarder Andy Hurdman tearing it up in the frigid glacier waters of Alaska (for the TV show “Catching Air”), I knew it was going to be epic.

I won’t ruin it for you, but definitely stick around until the end.

Andy even catches a fish to make this video the Ultimate “Salt Strong” footage.
