ABOUT Richard Thomas
I grew up fishing the murky waters off Savannah, Ga since I was able to walk.
Every hour that I was not in school, I was either on the boat fishing or in the woods hunting with my dad who was a phenomenal outdoorsman. He taught me most of what I know about fishing all along Georgia’s beautiful coast.
I went to college in Savannah, Ga. where I met my wife and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Performance and Fitness Management from Armstrong State University.
Once I graduated college I Commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the Army, where I was able to serve and travel the world. I still spent every free hour I had fishing and was fortunate enough to be stationed in Colorado where I found a passion for fly fishing.
I left the Army in June of 2020 and came back home to Savannah, where I immediately fell back in love with saltwater fishing.
My wife and I now live in Jacksonville, FL. where I fish along the St. John’s River, the ICW, and coastal marshes. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with Salt Strong and fulfill a position that helps anglers across our community!
