If you love catching (or even watching) the magnificent “Silver King Tarpon”, then you are absolutely going to love this video that tracks the tarpon migration.

And yes, around the 3:30 mark the dog actually does jump in the water to “fetch” the tarpon.

Pretty awesome tarpon hunting dog if you ask me.

And pretty awesome Tarpon video!

We apologize in advance for the couple of curse words, but this tarpon video by Waterline Media was too good to pass up.

Amazing work on the film, and amazing tarpon footage gents.

Tarpon Hunting Dog = Salt Strong

Our friend Darcizzle just had an amazing couple of days snook fishing over in Stuart, Florida.

Just check out the size of the snook she catches right off the bat.

Not a bad way to start the day.

And it doesn’t end there…

Darcizzle and Captain Ken Hudson (Snook City Charters) put on a “Snook-a-thon”, and have one heck of a great time catching snook around the snook-loaded docks in Stuart.

Captain Ken also gives some great tips on how to fish the docks for snook.

Finally, make sure to stick around until the very end, as Darcizzle re-catches the same snook that broke her off (and took her hook) just a couple of hours before.

Amazing Darcizzle Snook-a-thon!

P.S. – If you haven’t seen the incredibly fun and entertaining interview we had with Darcizzle, check it out below. It is worth the watch.

Wounded Warrior Scott Lilley is one lucky dude.

He is incredibly lucky to be alive after serving our country and losing a huge chunk of his skull/head to an explosive in Iraq.

And he is one incredibly lucky fisherman as well.

After picking Scott and his best friend Brandon Claussen (former MLB player) up at the docks around 4pm, we ended up only having an hour and a half to fish after dropping off their gear and giving them the full tour of our island living situation.

And when Scott told us that not only had he never been snook fishing, but he had never even seen a snook, Luke and I would have been happy just getting Scott on a small snook for his first evening of fishing…

But Scott had other plans…

Not only did he land a huge snook within 10 minutes of fishing, he landed a huge jack, and then one more big snook about 20 minutes after that.

In total, he brought in two slot snook (30 inch and 32 inch snook) all in the matter of an hour…all during his first time ever inshore fishing ever.

Amazing guy.

Amazing fishing.

If you are an inshore angler in Florida, the ultimate catch is a Florida Inshore SUPER Grand Slam, which consists of catching a Permit, Tarpon, Bonefish, Snook, and Redfish.

And there is no place like Florida to do this.

So when we came across this awesome video (with one disturbing clip) from World Angling, we couldn’t help but share.

And yes, there are even some great inshore fishing bloopers in this reel as well.

Warning: If you get nauseous seeing someone crack their head on a boat, you might want to close your eyes about halfway through this video during the blooper reel…OUCH!

But the rest of this video is pretty amazing stuff!

Great job on this Florida Inshore Super Grand Slam!

When I first had this video sent to me, I looked at the description, and my first thought was, “This must be a typo”.

It just seemed so tough to imagine seeing a black marlin (or any marlin for that matter) up in the flats of 4 feet of water (or less).

Because when I imagine black marlin, I think of dark blue (and super deep) water.

And when I think of flats fishing, the last thing that comes to mind is seeing a beautiful black marlin cruising through.

But this video proved it all wrong.

Not only are these guys (StripStripe Productions) catching juvenile black marlin on the flats, but they are catching quite a few of them (on fly as well).

Amazing video gents.

Inshore Black Marlin = Salt Strong

It’s rare that we ever post our own videos on this main Salt Strong page (in fact, I believe this is the first video we have ever posted on this main video board), but we had such a great day back in the Florida grass flats yesterday that we couldn’t help but show you.

This was a “Skinny Water Inshore Slam” (Snook, Redfish, and Trout) all on artificial lures…and all of this footage and fishing action was caught over a 3 hour period yesterday.

Pretty good considering when we finally hit the water for the day (at 3:30pm) we had on rain gear as it looked like it was going to storm again.

But the sun peaked its head, and we tour it up in less than 2 feet of water catching a big 31-inch redfish, tons of smaller reds, a handful of snook, and even a couple of trout.

And Andrew, the Salt Strong promoter and marketing manager, caught the biggest fish of his life.

Ouch!

This is painful to watch… but it does have somewhat of a happy ending.

In this video, Josh Jorgensen from BlacktipH and the LakeForkGuy almost lose at least $2,000 of fishing equipment to a beast of a stingray on a dock after one of the anglers slips and loses everything.

Lucky these guys are smart and went looking for it.

Check these guys out on YouTube here.

They have some great fishing videos.

Here at Salt Strong, we love catching big sea trout!

And we also love watching the legendary Captain Blair Wiggins catch fish.

So when we came across this video of Blair catching big trout on topwater plugs, we couldn’t resist sharing with you, our audience.

In this video Captain Blair is fishing with Captain Tyler Vollmer in the famous Mosquito Lagoon near Titusville, FL.

He is throwing the Mogan Series TroKar Mirrorlure, a Top Dog topwater plug that the speckled sea trout can’t seem to resist.
