After getting skunked in the freshwater streams of the smoky mountains during the holidays, I really needed a confidence boost… so I had to get back into my hometown saltwater.

A few days after returning home there was light west winds and sunny skies. With an hour to spare, I re-rigged the fly rod and decided to wade out on one of my favorite flats in the banana river. The water has cleared up considerably in the last month and it was so nice to stalk along the open water flats without trees and cliffs in my way! After landing a solid trout within the first few minutes I knew I was back home (and still remembered how to fish)!

The next day I broke up a redfish threesome and sight fished the stud out of the group. It is so nice to be back in the salt and living on the east coast of central Florida!

Strong performance, Robert. Stay Salty and Fish On!

It was a warm, sunny day on the Navarre Beach Pier in Florida.

The male to female ratio on the pier was probably somewhere in the 90 to 10 ratio (90% men of course).

Yet one young girl schools the guys with her nice king mackerel off the high pier.

After a few missed gaffs, the nice king mackerel makes the journey from the water to the pier deck, and I am certain eventually to a table of hungry anglers.

The best part was around the 8:15 mark where she drags her catch back to her fishing spot, and lets everyone on the pier know who the fishing boss is.

There is just something about listening to Kenny Chesney and watching someone landing a Florida “summertime sailfish” that gets you in a good mood.

And in this video, you can get your fill of Kenny and some summertime sailfish…and as an added bonus some type of drone/GoPro setup with some great footage of them running out to their fishing honey hole.

I believe all of this footage is done somewhere near Stuart, Florida.

Enjoy!

In this episode of Addictive Fishing, Captain Blair Wiggins and Captain Greg Snyder tear up the snook and trout while wading near Stuart, Florida (Jensen Beach).

This wading for monster snook and trout video is kind of long, but well worth the watch as not only do you get to see a crap-load of fish, but the tow guides give away some great tips about wading on the flats.

If you want to learn how to catch snook and trout without a boat (aka wading), then this is the video that you need to watch this video.
