Captain Ben Chancey of Chew On This is back on the site with another great video.

This time is showing this couple how to catch Goliath Grouper by hand, and as the guy is pulling the bonita back to the boat, a big Goliath Grouper comes out from under the boat and “explodes” right next to the boat.

Great footage Ben, and keep up the great work!

P.S. – For any of your engineers out there, we realize that this fish doesn’t literally “Explode”…it is a fishing term that can be used in association with examples like these: “explosive bite” or “exploding next to the boat”

There are three things that can instantly bring a crowd together on a public beach…

  1. The Ice cream truck
  2. Anything Free
  3. A big fish, shark, or Goliath Grouper being landed on a crowded beach

In this case it was #3…

And it was a huge Goliath Grouper that was landed on a public beach in Naples, FL

As you can see from the video, the angler hooked the large Goliath Grouper from a pier, and then walked the large fish all the way down to the beach where they finally landed it among many beach onlookers.

Well done gents.

Videos of people hauling up monster Goliath Grouper never seem to get old.

But when we came across this video from the guys at Saltwater Salvation bringing in a Goliath grouper caught on LAND using a very short tow rope (aka by Hand), we were uber impressed (and of course had to share it with you).

In this video, the angler (Christopher) throws out a jack crevalle on an 18/0 Lindgren Pittmen Circle Hook attached to 600lb mono leader, attached to a tow rope, off of a dock near a boat ramp.

In hardly any time, he is hooked up with a huge Goliath Grouper on the dock.

And keep in mind, this young guy does all of this with a fairly short handline.

In fact, I thought the Goliath Grouper was going to pull him in at one point.

But he lands the huge grouper on the ramp, does a great release, and then off to celebrate.

Ouch!

This is painful to watch… but it does have somewhat of a happy ending.

In this video, Josh Jorgensen from BlacktipH and the LakeForkGuy almost lose at least $2,000 of fishing equipment to a beast of a stingray on a dock after one of the anglers slips and loses everything.

Lucky these guys are smart and went looking for it.

Check these guys out on YouTube here.

They have some great fishing videos.

When we came across this amazing “Goliath video thumbnail”, we quickly started referring to it as the ultimate “Goliath Grouper Selfie”…

And of course we couldn’t resist watching the video that was behind the amazing thumbnail (I guess you couldn’t either if you are reading this).

Well it turns out that the video was pretty epic!

80 inches long, 60 inches around! What a beast of a fish.

Well done Uncut Angling!

Great video, great Goliath Grouper!

P.S. – Just for the record, we do know what a selfie really is…it was just our initial thought when we saw this amazing pic

There is nothing better than landing a large snook for an avid inshore angler.

And I have to imagine (as I (Joe) am yet to break through the 30+ pound snook mark) that catching a 30lb snook is pretty darn epic.

We aren’t sure of the anglers name, but this was caught with Captain George Gozdz of Flatlined Charters near Stuart, Florida.

Well done gents…huge snook!

Don’t forget to check out the awesome video “Here’s what a 30LB snook caught by a Girl looks like here.

Which snook looks bigger to you?

The guys or the girls?

Goliath Grouper are huge, they are intimidating, and they have proven to be one of the most aggressive eating fish in the sea (in many cases even more so than sharks). In fact, here is a quick video from BlacktipH showing just how aggressive these grouper can be (click here to watch).

In this Goliath Grouper video, a big Goliath Grouper attacks spear-fisherman ripping off his fin, fish, spear, and gun.

His friend filming is enjoying a good laugh until his buddy gets manhandled by the class bully. Glad no one was hurt, but still glad we were all able to enjoy this on film…
