This video is kind of like a Lays potato chip, you can’t just watch it once…

In fact, I must have watched it 5 times in a row after I saw it for the first time this week. It’s pretty rad.

Here’s the scoop on this Great White Shark Aerial Attack:

This amazing Great White aerial attack is actually a Great White hitting a seal decoy dragged behind a boat. These powerful Great White sharks hunt seals by coming up from the deep at high speeds, and hitting the seal clear out of the water. The shark’s speed is enough to lift the seal and itself (many of these Great Whites weigh in upwards of 2,000 pounds) straight out of the water.

Also, this video was captured in Table Bay (Cape Town, South Africa), the biggest breeding ground of Great White sharks in the world.

OUCH!

I have personally never been barbed (aka Stung) by a stingray, but I did watch my dad go through the pain and agony of having to remove a stingray barb that was lodged way up in his foot after pushing our boat off of a sandbar years ago… and it was painful to watch!

And to say that I want no part of feeling the pain of a stingray barb myself is an understatement. People describe it as feeling like your foot is on fire, and the pain doesn’t go away quickly.

Now although this video doesn’t have anyone actually fishing, it does give some helpful stingray tips if you are ever barbed by a stingray while out fishing or wading out in the saltwater. Not to mention, it helps newcomers to fishing understand the difference between a stingray and a flounder…

It is also smart to always do the “Stingray Shuffle” where you shuffle your feet in the sand while walking in the water. That way you never plop your foot right on top of a stingray barb. Will save you hours of excruciating pain (just ask anyone that has been barbed by a ray).

If you think your friends/network would find this useful, please share it with them – I’d really appreciate it.

Captain Jeff Maggio (aka Lunkerdog) is at it again… putting priceless smiles on kids faces out on the water.

When we interviewed Capt Jeff back in March (you can watch the interview here), he told us that he was the man for getting people on Tarpon 365 days per year down in the Ft. Lauderdale area. And based on what we have seen from him every week since March, that statement rings true.

If you haven’t seen Captain Jeff’s other videos that made it to our homepage, check them out here after you watch the latest video below:

Welcome to another infamous edition of FFF – “Freshwater Fishing Friday“!

If you missed the last two amazing Freshwater Fishing Friday videos, here they are:

Now back to the Viral Video at hand…

If you don’t know what “Skarping” is, it is a combination of water skiing, while catching flying carp, while playing basketball.

It was “invented” by the Peoria Carp Huntersand this “Skarping video” that they created is one of the most amazing flying carp videos I have ever seen.

If you aren’t familiar with these jumping Asian Carp, they can be found in a few special places in Illinois, and these Asian Carp jump out of the water because of vibration and water turbulence.

P.S. – Make sure to watch this entire video as they don’t just go “Skarping” on water skiis and wakeboards. They get in tubes, and even use a trident to spear the flying carp at one point.

P.P.S. – Big thanks to Meagan Johnson Robinson and Doctor Brian Headrick for sending this skarping video in.

Darcizzle (from Darcizzle Offshore) is back!

And this time she is taking her fishing skills underwater as she goes spearfishing with the FAU Spearfishing Team down in the Florida Keys.

If you missed the last few Darcizzle videos, here are a few of our favorites:

Otherwise, enjoy this latest video fromDarcizzle as she and the FAU crew catch lionfish, snapper, and a big kingfish.

This Salt Strong high school girl, Lexis Chancey, is no stranger to monster fish…

In fact, this is the second time that she has made the home page here at Salt Strong. The first time was when she landed a beast of a 30-lb Snook (watch that video here).

Of course this time she is having to battle a fish that weighs more than she does, all from a kayak. Notice how she comes pretty close to flipping over at one point. Wow!

And if the last name sounds familiar, it is because she is the daughter of Monster Fish Legend Capt. Ben Chancey of Chew on This. If you never saw Capt Ben’s first huge Goliath Grouper from a kayak just a month ago, then check out that video here.

Related: The fishing hole in this video appears to be the exact same spot that a “Goliath Grouper Snaps Kayaker’s Rod and He Still Lands It” video took place. Watch it here if you never saw it.

Just when you thought you had seen it when it comes to Grouper videos, this video of a Grouper hitting a diver right where it counts…

And it’s around the 41-second mark… you’ll know when you see it, as you can see him quickly go into the “I’ve been hit” position…

You can even hear his dive partner laughing after it happens. I guess I can’t blame him, because if this happened to Luke (the other Salt Strong founder) while I was diving, I imagine I would be laughing pretty hard as well.

This Grouper bashing occurred down in Cozumel, and Steve “Buddha” Lee is the unlucky diver that got a surprise when he went to open his feeding bag.

Nurse sharks have never been known to be that ferocious, but this video takes the nurse shark “tame-ness” to a whole new level as these nurse sharks sit up on a dock ledge and wait patiently to be fed.

However, these nurse sharks do go into a “feeding frenzy” around the 35-second mark, so at least they show signs of life…

But they aren’t aggressive enough to eat the bird that lands on one of the nurse shark’s heads toward the end.

At any point, hope you enjoy these nurse sharks feeding like dogs.

Also, does anyone know exactly where this is? Let us know in the comments.

This shark attack video is nuts!

And this guy (Al McGlashan) is pretty lucky that this big Mako Shark didn’t come after him as he jumped in the water to get some footage of the Marlin they just caught.
