If you have been to our site before, you know that Captain Ben Chancey of Chew on This is a seasoned pro at catching monster fish out of a kayak.

In fact, it was his video that first surfaced proving that a Goliath Grouper could be landed from a kayak (see that video here).

Ironically, he was using the exact same kayak as he was in this video that he just published yesterday…

However, this video of Capt. Ben taking on a huge shark from a kayak has a different result… and I still can’t believe how it ended.

I won’t ruin it for you, but let’s just say Captain Ben is one lucky fisherman!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, the guys from MorningTide Fishing Are Extreme.

If you haven’t seen these crazy blokes do some of the wildest land based fishing ever captured on video before, here are three of their videos that blew up on our site:

  • “Think The Wicked Tuna Guys Are Crazy. Then Watch This” (watch it here)
  • “Only A True Fisherman Could Ever Understand This Wild Video” (watch it here)
  • “The Biggest Mackerel Ever Caught In Skinny Jeans. Ever.” (watch it here)

In this MorningTide fishing video below, land-based angler Sam has some “bad luck fishing redemption” by landing a Cobia and a nice Spanish Mackerel up on the rocks.

Take special notice at the 4:27 mark as his fishing partner almost wipes out as an oncoming wave hits him.

Like I said, these guys are extreme.

Hope you enjoy this extreme cobia and mackerel fishing video!

Scuba divers, I hope you take this with a smile (and make sure to watch the LAST prank for sure).

As someone that enjoys both freediving and scuba diving (so does my entire family), I think it is pretty funny and all in good humor regardless of your underwater preference.

Especially when you consider that this diver Paul McDonnell is deaf.

Yep, he was born deaf and one of his favorite things to do is freedive (and play pranks apparently).

Can you imagine if you were the scuba diver and you turned around to see a guy with no tank on at 80-100 feet!

I won’t ruin it for you, but let’s say you definitely want to hang around until the last prank. I would have lost it!

WARNING: Do NOT try this at home unless you personally know the divers and their skill level. At 100 feet (or any depth for that matter), a more inexperienced diver could truly panic, and then it wouldn’t be so funny for anyone.

A few months back we posted a bluefish video that really took off.

And it wasn’t a surprise to me, the video was amazing. The guy had multiple cameras going (one on his head, one on his rod, one underwater, etc) and created a one-of-a-kind surf-fishing video called “When Bluefish Attack” (you can watch it here).

Since then, we really haven’t seen any bluefish videos come across our desk that we think have the ability to be a Viral Fishing Video.

But this bluefish video below does (especially for anyone that likes surf fishing, catching fish from the beach, or just likes catching the hard-fighting bluefish).

This video was filmed by Angry Fish contributor Chris Fabiano, and it takes place somewhere in New Jersey.

And it is clear to see they don’t lack baitfish on this beach… the anglers are literally surrounded by baitfish and probably stepped on a few by accident they are in stacked in there so deep.

Of course the bluefish are taking every possible advantage of this massive beach bait pod, so much so that there is bloodstained water everywhere.

Great job by Chris on getting the slo-mo of the bluefish nailing the topwater lures. Pretty sweet action!

At the very end, you can even see quite a few of the baitfish flopping on the beach as I guess they would rather die on land than getting sliced by a bluefish. Ouch!

P.S. – If you enjoyed this bluefish video, please tag a friend or share away. You Rock. Pa-POW!

I bet you can’t watch this video of a guy getting completely creamed by a boat engine rooster tail just one time!

I am still laughing.

Here is what I know:

  • This guy is NUTS!
  • Judgement begins to spiral downwards while drinking beer in a speedo
  • The guy next to him turns into an ostrich at the 15-second mark
  • This man loves his beer! Notice that he never drops the beer even after he gets plowed
  • That must have stung like a ton of hornets
  • He is lucky he didn’t lose some vision in his eyes as he had no glasses on or anything
  • He might have lost his left nipple
  • Kids, do not try this at home

Note: According to our viewer Zach, the boat operator is Trevor Jennings from RIP King Guide Service. He is based out of Walla Walla, Washington.

Enjoy this awesome video.

A few of you reached out to me this morning wondering where the “Freshwater Friday” video was today… Busted.

Apparently the “Baseball-Fishing” video from this morning (watch it here) didn’t constitute freshwater, even though I am pretty sure I can see the lake in the background…

Either way, I thank you for calling me out because in my search of the best freshwater video this morning, I came across this unknown gem of a video where a largemouth bass eats a baby alligator… and they somehow captured the scene on video!

They even managed to get the bass scarfing down a nice size frog also.

But first, if you missed the last couple of the ever-popular Freshwater Friday videos, here they are so you don’t have to go searching for them:

  • “What Happens When You Grab Bug Spray Instead of Starter Fluid” (watch it here)
  • “Wait Until You See This Dude Go Hair Fishing” (watch it here)
  • “The Fishing Video That Will Have You Dying To Go Skarping” (watch it here)

Now I hope you enjoy this unbelievable Freshwater Friday video of a largemouth bass eating an alligator.

The notes say that this was done by National Geographic.

This is certainly the year of the “Great White Shark“!

And just wait until you see this Great White video below that was recently captured on film 45 miles south of Long Beach, NY.

In regards to Great White Sharks, we still can’t figure out if the Great White population is actually getting bigger, if the sharks are just exploring new areas, or if the increase in Great White sightings is due to more people having cameras and GoPros on them at all times.

Either way, there have been a TON of Great White Shark sightings this year.

Here are just a few of the viral shark videos in the past couple of months:

  • “16ft Great White Encounter. This time in Jupiter, FL” (watch it here)
  • “Another Great White Captured on Film. This time in the Gulf!” (watch it here)
  • “The Most Terrifying Great White Encounter You’ll Ever See!” (watch it here)

Back to the video at hand.

In this video below, a group of anglers from New York came across an approximate 35-40 ft dead whale that had a few sharks circling it while intermittingly going in for some free food on the carcass.

As they got closer to the whale, they noticed that one of the sharks circling the whale was a massive Great White Shark. And they found out quickly that this Great White did not want them around.

After circling the boat for a while, it came up a few times near the engine before finally going back to the dead whale to get a bite to eat. Most likely trying to scare them away from his meal.

Amazing!

I can’t even imagine being on that boat. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

P.S. – If you enjoyed this video, please share it with a friend. You Rock!

What would you say if someone told you that it was possible to combine two of America’s greatest pastimes into one sport?

Well I am here to tell you that it’s now entirely possible.

In fact, I think you could even have a beer while enjoying “Baseball-Fishing”

So what is baseball-fishing?

Well as this trailblazing guy shows us in the video below, it is simply rigging up a baseball (or a softball or tennis ball) to a spinning rod and reel outfit, opening up the spool of the spinning reel, hanging the ball out over home plate (a frisbee will do for home plate), and letting your kids take a whack at hitting a home run with their baseball bat.

All you have to do is reel it in and do it again and watch your kids and neighbors smile.

Note: For older kids, an 80lb mono leader is highly recommended while playing Baseball-Fishing. And for the oversized kids that grow full beards at age 11, a wire leader is recommended. Heehee.

Enjoy this video, and don’t forget to check out all of our “FISHING FUN” videos that we post on Fridays. You can see all of them here.

If you have been on our website before (SaltStrong.com), there is a good chance you have come across Darcizzle from Darcizzle Offshore.

She made her first appearance on Salt Strong way back in January with “6 Steps To Avoid Seasickness” (watch that video here).

Then we posted a video of Darcizzle Snook Fishing that really blew up (watch Darcizzle catching snook on the beach here)!

A few videos later we found ourselves interviewing Darcizzle (and putting her through our tough fishing/camping/outdoors quiz), where we all had an absolute blast (watch the interview video here).

Then a week ago, Darcizzle sent us her first show that was mostly underwater (she went spearfishing with the FAU spearfishing team – you can watch it here).

Needless to say, our audience loves Darcizzle, and I guess you can’t blame them…

Check out her most recent video below where Darcizzle and Kim fish the Downtown Showdown Tournament going for Kingfish aboard the boat, “Angler Management
