Capt. Robert Rohmann at Avid Charters took it to a whole new level on this inshore fishing video.

Can you imagine how much more exciting saltwater fishing would be if every guide and charter captain made a video like this!

If you are ever over on Florida’s Space Coast and want to catch some monster inshore fish from Mosquito Lagoon, to Indian River Lagoon, down to Jupiter, check out Avid Charters.

Their video does a pretty good job of showing you what kind of fun they have out on the water.

Great job guys.

Some amazing footage.

Did BlacktipH just beat his own top-ranked Mullet Run Footage from last year?

Either way, you’ve got to see this!

So earlier this year we posted some “Florida Mullet Run” footage from our friend Blacktiph that was the best we had ever seen… (you can view it here)

In fact, we went as far as challenging anyone to send us mullet run footage that could beat it.

And over the last 6 months that Mullet Run footage continued to be shared and viewed like crazy (to the tune of over 13,000 Facebook Like and Shares from Salt Strong viewers alone)…

During that time frame, no angler or videographer has been able to match the amazing footage from that video…

Until today…

Ironically, it was none other than BlacktipH himself that beat his own video footage!

Check out this unbelievable South Florida Mullet Run footage that he just uploaded to his BlacktipH YouTube channel.

Is this the best Florida Mullet Run footage of all time?

Let us know what you think in the comments.

Note: If you aren’t a Florida saltwater angler and have no idea what the Mullet Run is, it occurs when mullet start heading south on Florida’s east coast when water temperatures begin to drop. These migrating mullet are headed south to warmer water and where grasses and algae grow during the winter.

And once they reach the south point of Florida, the sexually mature fish head offshore and breed in the Gulf Stream where the fertilized eggs catch a move northbound with the current, and the mullet cycle starts all over again…

If you were one of the few that missed the Viral Fishing Video called, “This Is How You Land 43-inch Snook From One Of The Snookiest Fishing Piers In Florida Like a BOSS”, then make sure to check that video out next.

Why?

Well, it was part one of this two-part Juno Beach Pier snook fishing video with Ryan Izquierdo.

In the first video, Ryan and his teenage fishing buddies land monster snook after monster snook right off the pier (Juno Beach Pier).

And stay tuned til’ the end as these guys actually land a small Goliath Grouper as well.

Enjoy.

Important Note: When handling big snook like this, always make sure to hold them with two hands (where your second hand is giving them stomach support). It will help ensure they live long after you release them.

If you love inshore fishing (Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Trout, Permit, Bonefish), then the chances are pretty good that you know Tom Rowland and Rich Tudor of the hit TV fishing show, Saltwater Experience.

The saltwater fishing duo easily made the “Top 85 Must Know Saltwater Fishing Anglers In Florida”, and they have had one of the most popular and longest running saltwater fishing TV shows in America.

Well, the good news is that they are back for another season of Saltwater Experience, and this year they brought their A-Game with an amazing inshore trailer.

The drone footage of the monster school of redfish right under the layer of grass was enough to have me itching to hit the flats.

Great job guys!

Looking forward to another season of Saltwater Experience.

Team Googan (aka “Poseidon” – god of the sea and protector of all saltwater life) is no stranger to being featured on Salt Strong.

In fact, I think this is his 5th or 6th video that has made it as one of our Salt Strong featured videos.

And in this video, Team Googan puts all of his best stuff in the Ultimate “Run That Dog” Compilation…

Some of the fishing footage is from the actual South Florida Mullet Run, while others parts of from Team Googan showing how he catches monster fish year round in South Florida.

He’s kind of like the Honey Badger… Team Googan don’t care… he’ll catch fish any time of year…

Make sure to watch until the end as this video keeps getting better and better.

Another great video Team Googan!

Not even a wheelchair can stop this man from catching redfish!

We absolutely love videos like this.

And not just because our youngest brother Daniel is disabled and in a wheelchair (although that certainly has something to do in terms of why we honor anyone that is disabled).

The main is reason is seeing the smile on this guy’s face…

while many of us are guilty of complaining about a bad day at work, this guy is having the time of his life out on the water, and not even his wheelchair is going to keep him off of that small flats boat so he can catch some redfish.

A Perfect song “Soulshine” by the Allman Brothers to accompany this video.

Big thanks to Coach Chin and Captain Benny Blanco for the awesome skinny water footage.

And huge props to Rob Birk for the inspiration.

I told you Eric Estrada of Estrada Art was going to be a name you will want to remember in the saltwater fishing world!

Note: He made “The Complete List: 63 Must-Know Florida Saltwater Anglers” that we put together a month ago.

This new Estrada Art “5wt Chronicles” is a multi-segment short film series where Eric and his fly fishing crew go all over the country to see how many different species of fish they can catch with a 5wt fly rod.

From big backcountry saltwater fish like redfish, black drum, tarpon, and snook, to trout in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this fly fishing series will certainly be big (and entertaining).

Check out this very first official episode below, and find out why these guys are even willing to carry their boat across land to get some hidden “honey holes”.

Cast in order of appearance:
Capt. Ty Loyd Jr.
Eric Estrada
Frank Salas
Reid Ogden

There is even some great fishing conservation segments courtesy of JoEllen Wilson of the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust.

And stay tuned until the end, there is some great bonus footage and a preview of the next 5wt chronicle.

We are looking forward to the next episode Eric Estrada!

Enjoy!

Dan Decibel is at it again! (the same Skinny Water Culture guy that created this award winning Tarpon video)

This time Dan has created some sick Redfish Topwater footage.

If you have ever been fishing for redfish (aka “redfishin”), you know that there is nothing cooler than seeing a redfish come up and slam your topwater lure on the surface.

And in this video, Dan captured the guys from FlatsHQ showing off what their FlatsHQ lures can do when it comes to redfish (and a few other inshore species as well).

I don’t know about you, but color me impressed!

Well done Dan and the FlatsHQ guys.

Amazing redfish footage.

I understand why you called the video “Unnatural” now…

Luke and I first met Captain Jeff Maggio (aka Lunkerdog) via a Google Hangout Interview back in March when we did the popular March Fishing Madness event.

Even though it was all done over the Internet, you could tell that Capt. Jeff was a reel guy…

Then when Luke and I met Jeff and spent some time ICASTing the heck out of ICAST with the guy, there was no doubt in our minds that Lunkerdog is not only a reel guy, but he is the real deal.

So when Capt. Jeff asked us to go fishing with him during the Mullet Run, we jumped all over it like a tarpon on an injured mullet…

And the footage below was the result of a late afternoon Mullet Run session with the one and only Lunkerdog.

Now I want to note that this guy was nothing short of a celebrity down there in Fort Lauderdale.

Everywhere we went anglers were yelling “Run That Dog”, they were waving at us, coming by to say hello, and we spotted a dude wearing one of the old Lunkerdog tournament shirts.

Luke and I even had the chance to certify some of Jeff’s famous 5-gallon buckets to give to some of the local “Happy Baiters”… what an experience!

The looks on these kids faces when we pulled them over and gave them a certified RTD (Run That Dog) bucket was priceless!

Keep up the great work down there Capt. Jeff.

And a huge thanks to “Lamont Andre 3000 Lunkerking Seahorse Stankonia 2liveCrew Mulletking formerly known as the artist Chip Mayhugh” for the amazing footage and editing.

Enjoy!
