I’ve been using the same one for at least four years and love it. The jaws are not as sharp now but still work so I guess it’s time for a new one. I definitely have gotten my monies worth.

I have had mine for a year and a half. No issues noted and they are very handy. I generally clip them to the loop on the pocket of my fishing shirt and stick them in the pocket. I fish from shore, boat and kayak. They are always part of my minimum requirement kit.

I love mine. You can prevent the screws from rusting by dripping liquid rubber electric “tape” onto the screw heads.

Ave them and love them. At thirteen dollars I keep several spares. They do rust if not cared for.

Agree on both points. Great tool but it can rust.

I have had several of these items for a number of years. I like them very much because they are quite sharp and cut very easily. The only downside I found was if I don’t lock it closed when done using it I have found that I have dropped a line into the jaws and cut or nicked the line.

I have used this tool a lot. Have bought several over the years. But it does have problems cutting braid.

It is one of the rare piece of equipment that can be considered « perfect » for a job in one’s box.

I use them exclusively. But only problem they don’t last to long. Usually replace 2 or 3 times a year

ordered one yesterday so knowing amazon prime, i’m expecting a truck tomorrow!. It seems like most of your cons involved the chance of the points cutting you when sitting. Why not just kiss the tip on a grinder and change it from a point to a blunt tip? I don’t see any reason why you need the tip to be a point.

I’ve been using them for about 2 years now. I also gift them to everyone I know who fishes.
