Great info! I was heading to Academy Sports to spool my new real I just bought. Now I know the right way to just do it.
Glad it was helpful Dennis!
Thank you… very helpful for this new to fishing member!!
You’re welcome Jeff!
Great video going over the basics of rod and reel set up!
Thank you for the feedback Ron!
Maestro Good morning, what color should the Braid lines be, I have not seen a clear braid yet, which you recommend. I see you spool dark green I believe. Also, I got Mono lines that is about 8 years old on my tackle box should I throw it away or use for Leaders.
Braid can really be whatever color you prefer. The color of the line is more for the angler to see as long as you are using leader.
For the old mono, you may want to toss it. Mono can go bad after a while.
Thank you much

You’re welcome Carl! Thank you for the great feedback!
Good stuff. Didn’t know about label up.
Thanks David!
Very smart and timely information considering that newly shipped reels will soon be without the pre-spool option to increase efficiency and shipping times.
Thank you for the great feedback Rex!
