Small vs Big Diving Plugs (When to Throw Each One)

We just introduced a new size Skinny Lipper to the line up, the Skinny Lipper Jr! Now that we have three different sizes you might be confused as to when should you use each one.

In this video I will go through all three sizes and tell you what conditions I look for to determine the size I will use.

Thank you for the info. I’m still learning all I can about inshore fishing. I’m ready for some real inshore catching. I’ve learned so much watching your pods. I know it’s gonna be cold but I’ll be in Stienhatchee next week with my son. Been down with the flu for three weeks and can’t wait to get back on the water. This app no doubt is second to none out there. Thanks again!

Pat thanks for the information. I used the 4″ skinny lipper last Sunday. There was a light chop on the water and I was in 2′ to 3.5′ of water. I had three fish hit the lure with two taking it and running. I hooked one but lost it 10′ from the boat. Is there a technique to hooking the fish? In all cases, I tried to set the hook when the fish took the bait. Twice I didn’t hook them and the third one while I hooked it, it wasn’t hooked good enought to get it to the boat. Let me know.

Well pat I now have all the prior skinny lipper colors I noticed that the new jr size only comes in 2 colors which to me is dissapointing because here in northeast fl i don’t use white very much better colors I have found have been anything that has both gold and or chartruse because although I do have alot of baits saltstrong baits included with white in them I don’t use them as much as my preferred colors that I just mentioned to me it seems that whenever saltstrong comes out with a new lure they always make it first in slam shady then after a while put out a color that’s different I know those colors work great where you and most of the staff as well as the coaches live and fish but us northeast fl anglers where the environment and water color is exceptionally different it can get frustrating waiting for you guys to put new colors that seem more suited for our waters but it is what it is thanks for the info and all you do
