Best Christmas Gifts For Fishermen (The Kind They Will Love You For)!

http://best%20christmas%20gifts%20for%20fishermen

It’s Christmas time!

Regardless if you are a spouse looking to get your loved one an amazing fishing gift, or a girl or guy looking for some gift ideas for your boyfriend or girlfriend who loves to fish, or just looking for some ideas to spoil yourself, here are seven items any saltwater angler would love to have (plus one bonus gift).

These gifts are based on items that we would love to have ourselves (plus some gift ideas from fellow anglers in our private online fishing club).

Note: NONE of these products are paid endorsements and NONE of the manufacturers gave us any incentives to list their products. These are based on the products we personally want, use, believe in, and/or spend our own hard-earned money on.

Enjoy.

7 Christmas Gifts For The Fisherman In Your Life

Here they are (in no particular order), seven amazing gifts that would make any serious saltwater fisherman smile ear to ear.

Enjoy and let us know which gift was your favorite in the comments.

Any other amazing fishing gifts we left off?

Post those in the comment section too.

YETI Panga Waterproof Duffel Bag ($299)

yeti christmas gift for fishermen

You won’t see my splurging for a 5-gallon bucket that costs $40 anytime soon (sorry Yeti), but I will gladly by $299 for this awesome 100% waterproof travel duffel bag/backpack.

In fact, I plan on getting this YETI bag for Christmas this year and retiring my old carry-on luggage bag.

YETI was smart to enter the luggage arena as luggage is something everyone needs and it’s something that gets a lot of use.

And this bag is perfect for any fisherman as you can keep your clothes, cameras, gear, or valuables safe and dry.

These YETI bags come in 3 different sizes, and the smallest one is just the right size to fit above you in the plane as a carry-on.

It’s completely waterproof, airtight, and fully submersible!

And it has two straps that turn it into a backpack. Pretty slick!

DJI Mavic Pro 4k Drone (With Battery Bundle Kit) – $899best christmas gifts for fishermen

This drone is amazing!

And it folds up into the tiniest of backpacks so you can take this thing anywhere.

If you want to take your fishing game up a notch and start getting some sick aerial footage of you fighting fish, this is the ultimate gift for you.

DJI has come a long way with their drones and this one is our favorite by far.

Click here to grab yours now.

GoPro HERO 7 Black – $398.90

best christmas gifts for fishermen

GoPro raised the notch again with this new GoPro 7.

The biggest difference in our opinion is the sound quality.

Some of the old GoPros (like the HERO 3 and HERO4) were great cameras, but the sound quality was pretty poor (and horrible if it was windy).

But this new GoPro 7 has the audio of a really nice camera making this a must-purchase.

And since it’s waterproof and fully submersible, you won’t even have to keep it in your new YETI waterproof duffel (haha).

Pick up your GoPro 7 here.

Daiwa Fuego 2500 Spinning Reel – $87.34

daiwa fuego spinning reel

Regardless if you are on offshore, nearshore, or inshore fisherman, every angler needs at least one top of the line light-tackle spinning reel in their arsenal.

Why do we like this Daiwa Fuego so much?

Because it’s one of the lightest, smoothest, and longest lasting spinning reels we’ve ever owned (for a fraction of the price of some of the more expensive competitors).

And if you are throwing artificial lures, those extra few ounces that other comparable reels have can really add up on your wrists, arms, and shoulders.

Salt Strong “Insider” Fishing Club Membership (Only $97 – comes to just $.27 per day)

Is there anything better than being around like-minded fishermen who get you, who love to see your fish pics, and who share openly share their tips with you?

Why yes, there is…

Smith Optics “Guide’s Choice” Polarized (With ChromoPop) Sunglasses – $229

I know, I know, you probably love your Costas (I still do too), but I truly believe these Smith glasses are one of the best pairs of high-end polarized fishing sunglasses at any price.

And I should know…

I am just a couple of sunglasses away from owning 30 different pairs of polarized sunglasses.

Women collect shoes, I collect nice polarized sunglasses…

And I own every brand from Costa del Mar, Maui Jim, Oakley, Under Armour, Hobie, etc.

I can tell you with complete confidence that these new ChromoPop polarized lenses are some of the best in the business, and I really love the look, weight, and fit of these glasses.

For the longest time I ignored Smith Optics, but these are now my go-to sunglasses for fishing.

Check out the other colors and options of these Smith glasses here.

L2Fish Paddleboard – $2,299

l2fish paddleboard

The L2fish board not only turns heads, but it’s one of the sturdiest and overall best fishing stand up paddleboards out there.

With its catamaran-style shape, this baby is almost impossible to flip over, and it’s incredibly lightweight for it’s size.

They have them in 12ft and 14ft editions, and they come in a variety of colors.

If you are looking for a high-end fishing paddleboard, the L2Fish board is what you need.

Check out all of the Live Watersports boards here on their homepage.

BONUS GIFT: A Non-Expiring IOU For A Full Day Of Fishing (All While Getting Out Of Any And All Obligations – With NO Blackout Dates) – FREE

best gifts for fishermen

When we ask the members of our online fishing club what their biggest challenge is when it comes to catching saltwater fish, it’s usually one of two things:

  1. How to locate feeding fish year-round (which is what we solve for in our private fishing club)
  2. Never enough time to fish (due to job, spouse, kids, etc)

So why not give your loved one an IOU for a full-day of fishing whenever the heck they want to (no blackout dates).

That will go a whole lot farther than a pair of new socks or underwear, and it won’t cost you a dime!

If you want to make the fisherman in your life happy, give him or her a day off from all obligations and let them hit the water for an entire day guilt-free.

Conclusion

Hope you enjoyed these ten amazing Christmas gifts for fishermen.

What was your favorite item?

Anything we left off that you really want?

Let us know in the comments.

P.S. – These gifts will also work for Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas, Eid-al-Adha, and Diwali…

P.P.S. – If you think your angler friends or fishing networks would enjoy seeing this, please Tag them or Share this with them. You Rock! Pa-POW!

Joe – Good advice. I will pick up the sunglasses. I have an idea for Salt Strong : i’m sure you thought of this before , but I think it would be great for Inside members and some extra revenue for you guts. How about you experts , who are better than most of the guides out there, spend a few hours with a member on his home turf, while doing one of your great Dissections. You could charge the going rate for a guide, make a member a video star, and afford him the one on one advice to help his game .I for one, would love this opportunity and I’m sure others would feel the same way.

Hope you had a great Christmas – And have a safe and prosperous New Year. Another idea I had for Salt Strong ; I belong to the Freedom Boat Club, which has thousands of members on the Gulf Coast. Of course a lot of members fish, and most have resources to pay for some good advice. I think your company could make an agreement for their members to join Insiders. You could give seminars at their many locations ( for a fee) and sign up a lot of new members. The people at Freedom are very customer oriented, and have a great product. John Giglio is the CEO and based out of Venice. He owns about 20 locations on the Gulf Coast, and has franchises throughout the country. He is also a great guy and very easy to deal with, and open to new ideas, Mention my name if you talk to him. check out the web site http://freedomboatclub.com/

Those Smith glasses are an even better deal at Steep and Cheap right now. I think they are about $76. Joe, do you have the bronze mirror? I have Costas in blue and green mirror, and I find the blue too dark for inshore.

Also, how do they hold up to scratches? My blue Costas are 580 glass and have been bulletproof. The green are 580P and have been less durable.
