What a pleasure it was to have Capt. C.A. Richardson on the podcast this week.

We had originally scheduled the interview to go for 30-35 minutes, but as you will see from the podcast, we went a few minutes over…

Why?

Because C.A. is so dog gone full of knowledge… not to mention, he is a pretty easy guy to talk to. No wonder everyone is always speaking so highly of him.

At any rate, this Fish Strong episode was a really cool one for us because C.A.’s story is so similar to Luke’s (minus the fact that Luke doesn’t have a TV show like FlatsClass…)

But in all seriousness, it is very cool to hear of a well-respected pro like C.A. Richardson who grew up fishing in Florida, caught a ton of bass on artificial only, loves to fly fish, and still continues to use mostly artificial lures today.

He even almost exclusively uses artificial with his high-paying charter clients today (which is the complete opposite of most Florida charter captains).

So we couldn’t think of anyone in the entire state better off to discuss how to catch more inshore fish using artificial than C.A.
