wondering what minimum cooler size would be recommended for a pint of shrimp and for a quart of shrimp
The most I have kept in the 19qt cooler is 3 dozen and they stayed alive with no issues. I could probably get away with 4 dozen but I wouldn’t push it too much. The more crowded the cooler is the more quickly the bait will die off.
the bait shop in Sebastian sells 50 shrimp for $15. I get them daily the night before, keep them in the AC in the Engel with an Ice Pack in a ziplock. Then take the ice out in the morning and have had good results. water is still cold at noon.
Good stuff! What size cooler are you using for the 50 shrimp?
