Hey Chuck. You should see the public land button in the layer section.
I love the new feature having the ability to find Public and Private land based access spots. I am going to be selling my bass boat and will be taking advantage of any land based fresh or salt water spots to fish. Salt Strong continues to amaze me with all the excellent features you are adding to the site!!

Super cool! Saw an area on Smart Fishing Spots that showed a road that leads to a creek with a break in the mangroves. Have been meaning to drive down and see exactly what it was. Now I know from the public land layer that it actually is public park with a kayak ramp so will be a new spot to try wading. Thanks guys!!

Joe, how come when I go to the smart fishing spots link it always says “click here to preview the new Smart Fishing Spots” in a yellow area at the top of the screen. Why doesn’t it just open in the new program? I am a member and am logged in at the time. Am I doing something wrong?
Hmm. Very odd. I assume you’re talking about desktop (and not the app). Does it happen when you go here: https://sfs.saltstrong.com/
Joe, that link takes me to the new format. So does the Smart Spots link at the top of this page. If I click on the Salt Strong link at the top left of this page it takes me to the Community. If I then choose Smart Spots at the top of that page it also gives me the new format. I guess just mentioning what was happening cured the problem. Bizarre. Guess it isn’t a problem any more.
I’m guessing that maybe your browser had cashed the old version. Glad to hear it’s fixed! Pa-POW!
