Super video and information. I can say that probably eighty percent of the bait I use since joining Salt Strong is artificial, mostly slam shady. Love it.Thanks and Tight Lines!!! 🎣🎣🎣

As a new member, I just wanna say I am so glad to be part of salt Strong. The information and education that is out there is great. I fished a lot deep-sea fishing on charter boat boats. Recently been doing a lot of flats fishing and learned so much from a lot of people in this group giving feedback. Love the video.

Great info. I’ve ordered the 3/4 – 1oz jig heads. Can’t wait to try them

Luke, did you use backing on your reel or straight braid due to the depth you were fishing?

Intriguing presentation. Believable too, since were plenty of witnesses! Luke, I realize this was offshore, have you had the same experience nearshore (i.e. reefs/ledges within 10 miles of shore)? And, do you have some video footage?

P.S. I recently bought a medium Slot Machine rod – Just bought a second. I won’t claim I catch more fish with it, but I will claim that it way more pleasurable fishing with it over any other rod I own! Never realized there would be such a difference!

I can only imagine or try to feel what Luke was feeling when he was catching all those big fish against the other guys with their top-notch bait. yeah Luke!

I go home to Panama City Fl every year for a week for Red snapper, gags, Scamp and triggers and hopefully some big mangroves. I have good luck with the prawns on shallow water rigs, Your set up will be my 1st drop in deep water next month, ordering those 2 Oz right now.
Thanks for the info and keep up the good work

Great video Luke and Joe. I’m leaving San Antonio tomorrow morning for three days fishing inshore/nearshore in and around Port Aransas, TX. After this video, I’m looking forward to trying your tactics and similar tackle for bottom fishing in 40 to 50 feet of water.
