I hit the road to fish new waters with Insider Member Charlie Ray McNally.

Not only did we have to deal with the cold front, but the water was churned up and dirty.

So my goal was to fish in darker-colored water because it tends to be warmer than other pockets of water.

Also, I planned on throwing lots of spinnerbaits and loud presentations to help attract nearby predatory fish.

I started out throwing the Z-Man Kicker CrabZ on a Texas Eye Jighead because the tide was so low.

The crab presentation was perfect in this marsh system and kept low to the bottom in the strike zone.

Mudflats, oyster bars, and points are the target areas after storms roll through an area.

Spots that warm up quickly with current flow are textbook areas to find hungry fish.

The spinnerbait really shined on this trip and definitely caught the most fish on the day.
