Everyone needs a little help people stop complaining I wish I can join salt strong but I only fish salt water twice a year usually Sarasota and Tampa area imfrom Chicago
There just jealous
There was resistance to fish finders giving unfair advantage. I don’t see SFS being any different other than pulling together everything into one app that’s largely available in part on an array of other apps. I’ve seen the same concerns expressed with drones, underwater cameras, and trackers attached to fish. I think it’s a hard argument that technology advancements don’t impact the fisheries. As increased fishing pressure, including a much larger population fishing and causing overdevelopment of coastal areas, and enhanced technology occur, the moderating factor is reduced bag limits and restricted open seasons. So we indirectly pay a consequence and many recreational anglers are very vocal when impacting their harvesting of fish. Like most things, there is no free lunch but just shifting of costs to others.
