Earlier this year, I posted an article about a fishing lure that we came across that originally had a guarantee that it would get a strike on every cast…

As you can imagine, I was very skeptical…
But like any curious angler, I also had to know if this lure really worked or not.
So I put in an order for two Twitching Lures and waited for them to arrive at my door so I could test them out here in Tampa Bay.
Here is what we found:
Pros Of The Twitching Lure
- It definitely twitches/vibrates via a water-activated response (it even started twitching and vibrating when Luke was washing down the rods and reels with the Twitching Lure hooked on the rod)
- It has LED lights on top making it really stand out in the water
- It actually looks really good in the water
- It did pretty well in darker water with a small chop on the surface
- The hooks are sharp and the product seems like it is good quality
- It charged quickly and lasted for the entire 2 hours without showing any signs of slowing or needing a recharge
- They provide two extra rubber stoppers for the USB charger port in the lure
- We caught two snook in 15 minutes once we were fishing this lure in a more desirable spot for it
Cons Of The Twitching Lure
- They currently cost $33.97 for two lures ($19.99 for two lures plus $6.99 shipping and handling for each lure – aka $13.98 for shipping)
- It is not an ideal lure for clear, skinny water sight casting. It has too much going on and ended up spooking every fish that saw it
- It took FOREVER to get delivered to me (even after paying $13 for shipping and handling)
- It does not get a strike every cast
Twitching Lure Video Review
The Two Fish We Caught On The Twitch Lure
Over the course of about two hours, this Twitching Lure did manage to catch us two fish (in particular, it caught Luke two fish).
We saw numerous fish on the flats (2-3 feet of water), and we both had multiple opportunities at sight casting for snook, but they wanted nothing to do with this bright, flashy, and noisy lure in the clear, flat water.
However, as soon as we moved to an area that was protected by the wind that had a bit darker water and darker bottom, we hooked up with two fish in about 15 minutes.
Here are the two snook we caught towards the end of the day using the twitching lure.
Note: You can watch them both being caught in the video review above.
Conclusion
The Twitching Lure certainly looks good underwater.
It lights up and vibrates within seconds of hitting the water just like it claims to.
And as you can see from the video, it certainly can catch a fish or two.
However, it does not get a strike every single cast unfortunately (trust me, I wish it did as this is the only lure I would ever carry around going forward).
At the cost of $33.97 for two Twitching Lures, it isn’t cheap, but I imagine that this could do really well in certain fishing areas as it does look enticing in the water.
Recently, we saw this same Twitching Lure advertises on another site and it was marked down from $99.95… come on guys…
So have you used this Twitching lure yet?
If you have, let us know your experience with it in the comments.
And if you have pictures (or video) of you catching a fish with The Twitching Lure, we’d love to see the different species that it can catch.

Thanks for the review. One suggestion for a good comparison woud be for one of you fish with your usual presentations to target Snook and the other to use the Twitching lure.
I don’t think we’ll ever be buying the Twitching Lure again… what a RIPOFF!
I have heard 10 bad reviews about the twitching lures for every 1 good one, so I recommend not bothering with buying them.
I bought some of these off of ebay, about $7 ea, Chinese knock offs are free shipping. It did not work for me.
I Brought 7, I charged 3 gave one two my grandson he was excited it worked for a minute before it went flat wouldn’t work again after we recharged it, the other two worked for about three minutes .I gave one too my brother don’t know if he has used it. he did charge it put it the sink said it worked. Saving the other three when I go snapper fishing they will bite anything Not happy ,to return them cost about $7. each so your better of keeping them for a lure , hopefully something big will take it and you wont see them again. If have any luck with the other ones ill let you know. Sounds like you wont here from me again
I have just bought one from online merchant. It took me almost 1 hour to catch a fish despite seeing several big fish swimming around. Obviously the fish were scared of it. That was fishing in clear water. I have yet to try it in murky water or night fishing, hopefully the result would be more promising. So far I still couldn’t tell if this works better than normal lures in my collection. It would be good if you could make some comparison on the catch rate using this and the normal lures. Since it was my first catch I couldn’t tell of its advantage compared to normal lures but hell, it didn’t catch fish on every cast. Almost like ordinary lures, almost. I promise to upload a video or pictures of the furue catches. Still skeptical and unconvinced.
Just an update, they are now on ebay for $8, free shipping. That makes it a more realistic purchase is you fish at night, or in stained water like i do
I loved the lure UNTIL I had to drag it through some weeds and the plastic power plug came out letting water inside and killed the lure. Stay out of the weeds.
I have used mine once went to recharge and before the the red light went out it started to buzz and flash until it run out of charge . Now it wont recharge at all . As far as I’m concerned I have wasted my money .
In that case its as good as normal lures. So far it has been much of a snake oil advertisement.
Ordered mine 8/2/17 still waiting for them to turn up it’s now the 1/4/17 customer service is useless!
Where can i buy some rechargeable Twitching Lures???
Save your money!
I was sent this set of Lures for a birthday present this year. Being retired has afforded me plenty of time and opportunity to fish major freshwater as well as inshore on the East Coast of central Fla. When I received these lures, I went to a drainage ditch that is known for rolling Tarpon and after about 50 casts, no luck….. It is not a usual thing but on the last cast the knot came undone and I was totally bummed out. I thought with another rod rigged for just in case I would snag it and redo my bad errors. I did not have the time to even set the new rod on the line to snag that baby. Before I made the cast a Tarpon hit the lure and it has not been seen since. My take on this is, they did not tell you that it will be guaranteed a trike if you do not have a line tied to it……………………….TIGHT LINES EVERYONE…….
