The Rechargeable Fishing Lure That “Guaranteed” A Strike On Every Cast! [VIDEO]

By: Joseph Simonds on January 8, 2016

twitch lure

I know what you are thinking…

How can any fishing lure attract a strike on every single cast?

And believe me, I was also incredibly skeptical when I stumbled across the video of this fishing lure known as the “Twitching Lure” that said it could guarantee a strike on every cast or your money back.

I mean, it just doesn’t even make sense to put a guarantee in place like that…

Not to mention, the advertisement said it could guarantee a strike in freshwater or saltwater. It sounds too good to be true!

But in any rate, it sure did get my attention to the point that I did some further investigation…

redfish strong performance fishing shirt

(FYI, I purchased a couple of these “Twitching Lures” online yesterday, and Luke and I will be doing a review on the “Twitching Lure” in the near future).

Update: We got the Twitching Lures in the mail and took them out to see if they can catch fish per their claim… click here to see our review of the twitching lure.

Now back to the video that I stumbled upon with this lure…

In full transparency, the video that I first found with the “Over The Top Catch a Fish on Every Cast Guarantee” appears to be the original video for this lure.

However it has now been replaced with an almost identical video on their main website without mention of the outrageous guarantee (basically an identical video that is a few seconds shorter due to taking the guarantee out).

Here is a screenshot of the original video so you don’t think I am making this stuff up (the guarantee was expressed both verbally and with text overlay on the video).

Note: If anyone from Twitching Lure company sees this, you might want to take that old video down from YouTube as it is still public for anyone to see…

Does The “Twitching Lure” Really Work?

First and foremost, the “Twitching Lure” is for real and it is backed by a real company with real people.

They even have a few pretty well-known guides/captains/fishing pros supporting the claims that this rechargeable twitch lure actually works (including numerous pictures and videos of both amateur and pro anglers catching fish with this twitch lure).

And they have used the video below on TV infomercials as well (not that it means the lure is any better just because it is on TV).

Here is an image from the Twitching Lure website showing some of the main features:

twitching lure reviews

Regarding this lure being “Banned” in many states, I couldn’t find any specific details on which states it was “banned” in.

I can only presume that some tournaments don’t allow any lure that uses batteries, but there was also a post I came across saying that it was legal to use this “Twitching bait” in tournaments.

So I don’t have any real evidence that this is truly banned in certain states. Perhaps you can leave a comment if you know more about this.

Regarding the guarantee on catching a fish every cast… looks like they have abandoned that (certainly a good thing as that is way over the top), but they still claim it can catch more fish than pretty much any other lure on the market.

How Does The Twitching Bait Work?

According to the Twitching Bait website, this revolutionary rechargeable fishing lure has the following features:

  • Patented Vibra-Strike technology triggers fish DNA to instinctively strike at the lure using the following actions:
    • It vibrates
    • It flashes
    • It buzzes
    • It glows in the dark
  • Recharges in minutes
  • Works in freshwater and saltwater for any fish
  • Comes with a USB charger so you can charge from pretty much any device or computer

And you have to admit, their two slogans are pretty darn catchy…

“Salt or Fresh, Big or Small, the rechargeable Twitch catches them all”

“Fish can’t resist the Twitch”

Here is the video from their website so you can see the Twitching lure in action.

Conclusion

The jury is still out on how well this twitching lure actually works in saltwater.

We should have ours in hand by the end of next week, and we will take it out, test it out, and do a video review for you shortly after we receive it.

Click here to see our review of the Twitching Lure and let us know in the comments if you have used this lure before.

So what do you think? Is it hype or does this thing actually work any better than a normal twitch lure?

Let us know in the comments.

I have had one of these lures for a week, used it once and it failed to recharge, having a fit each time I tried to plug it in.
I have taken it apart and found that it has suffered massive corrosion of the circuit board battery and charging plug. Not an effective lure.
I like the device, it is a great idea but can I suggest that the lure is improved in two ways;
First supply a rubber blank for the charging hole so water cannot ingress.
Second, ensure that the attachment points are also sealed against water ingress.

If you own one and have not used it yet, fit a rubber plug in the charging hole, and run a tiny amount of clear silicon sealant around the joint lines at the attachment points, that may resolve the issue.

I have their Corsair and their Executioner and their crank bait .. I have had them for about a month now.. all of mine function and all of the lures I have selected in their lure selection have worked fine for me with out malfunction or any sort of charging difficulties.. I have made their crankbait one of my go-to lures for when I am targeting bass. I have had a good run with their lures so far and will continue to use them.. kind of sucks as I read some of the reviews… seems like the company does need to do some work on the mechanical end of these lures. Sucks that some couldn’t experience what the lures are made to do… as for guarantee every cast… mine do not… but I can say this at the least … the crankbait has given me my pb on two different lakes so far and the executioner has caught walleye for me as well. I am not affiliated with this lure company at all and just felt that in all the negative , these guys are trying to pioneer a new era of fishing lures.. when I fish these lures I deploy techniques with them , I just don’t cast and reel in… I target areas of water where I know fish will be laid up and work these lures just like I would work any other lure…the plus is that these vibrate and flash … If I were a fish I would want to investigate something like that too .. lol … anyways … I would at least consider to try 1 there is no harm in trying … it doesn’t have to be everyone’s favorite lure but I will contest that they do catch fish and I know for a fact the Mr. Bill Dance had a part in the development of these lures…
hope this will help some… but can’t please everybody … lol

After charging my Lurer I can’t seem to get mine to work I’ve tried it in salt and fresh water but it has worked here and there but so far not when fishing any hints or at advice would be most appropriated.

Their 2 for 1 deal isn’t. Marketing 101 Buy one get one free doesn’t mean “pay for additional shipping. Site can’t eve represent “deal” properly. Getting second on means pay price of lure not postage. Exact opposite of voice on add.

We bought a PAC of 2 cast the line after charging, tested in water to check it does glow and twitch, check, then off we went, cast it , no left for home unplugged the plug and its full of water, does not twitch, glow or charge, going to ask for a refund

The initial lure ordered, was returned. It worked in the sink, but when charging, the light stayed ON! Just tried the replacement, and it sucked too. No strikes, nor catches in a 3.5 hr fishing trip. When taken out of the water, it buzzed and flashed continuously, until the battery ran down. When I tried to charge it, it flashed and vibrated continuously, then stopped and would not light again. Tired of trying crappy devices!

I fished the red and white lure by dragging it behind the boat while fishing for Bluegills. I caught two Bass, then the lure quit working. I think a fish tooth punctured the rubber plug allowing the lure to flood. The spotted lure wouldn’t charge. The company sent two spotted lures as replacements, but one of them also wouldn’t charge. I’m sending it back now.

I bought two of these lures and I fished them in water that I knew had a lot of fish and I fished them for three hours. I didn’t catch a thing nor did I have any strikes. The lures just scared the fish away. Fisherman, this is a waste of money and time.
Using Mustad hooks and worms We caught 46 fish. Stay with the old methods and save your money.

I ordered 1 this morning and then stopped in to Gander Mountain to see if they had a comparable version. The sales rep wasn’t familiar with the brand but he said ALL lures similar to this one are banned in a few states which caused Gander Mountain to pull them off their shelves. He said he used a different brand & never had such good luck.

The commercial is still airing on tv that it is guaranteed to catch a fish on every cast, @cheryl Rhoden, send that thing back and get your money back. Don’t know what states they changed the commercial in but in in RVA they are still airing the original commercials like this review said they are on the net. They said they give you your money back, get it back plus all the shipping you had to pay getting and returning it. I never believe these guaranteed lures. Just like when the flying lure came out and they showed it being struck by fish in a tank at fishing shows. It was no better really than a regular plastic worm. Be weary of these lures. Just a new gimmick is all they are.

Same here, TV commercial floods a couple digital channels 24/7. No lure catches a fish “every cast” so the guarantee is horse hockey. I can’t find any state banning it, so another lie. If I can buy same/similar lure at department store for 1/4, why would I send money to obvious liars? Caveat Emptor!

We fished with them for a couple hours the day we did the review, and neither of them ran out of power. So their charge lasts for at least 2 hours.

I got my first two last week. And I got to say I think it is very cool. I caught two large mouths off my dock which has never happened. With that said, I got one out to fish this eve and plugged it in to charge it. It shook and blinked for a sec and then stopped. It would not charge. I kept a close eye on the plug to make sure when i was using it, it stayed on and tight. I could not tell that any water got into it but based on the way it blinked and twitched when I plugged it in, I think water got in somehow. I called and they said to send it back so they could replace it. If in fact water somehow got into the lure, they need to figure out a better way to seal it. In conclusion, it is a fun lure and I do believe it works better than a normal lure at attracting fish. I would say to be aware that your lure might not last long. Upside is, they are good looking lures, and if it stops rattling and rolling I think a fish would still hit it and I have paid more for lures that just looked good without any special gimmicks.

Greetings,

Sounds to me it is a bad battery. Lithium ion batteries don’t do well when the battery is drained for long periods of time. It could of sit dead or near dead on a shelf for a long time before you purchased it. You will need to send it in so they can give you a replacement.

If it was a issue with water infiltration. It would work fine once it is completely dried. However, once it is submerged with water. Then it may short out and quit working until it is dried out again. Best way to test this is to create a desiccator bag. You can do this with a plastic bag and some silica gel and place the lure in the bag. Seal it and let it sit for a few days. If you can’t find any silica you can use sodium hydroxide. If you use sodium hydroxide. Please be careful while handling it. It is real important for you to wear rubber gloves. DO NOT TOUCH IT UNPROTECTED. It will cause chemical burns on your skin. It will cause your skin to blister. There is a picture of what a burn would look like on the wiki page. Whichever you decide to do. Good luck!

Thinking of buying this lure for my husband for his bday….been waiting to see your review once you tried it – what were your thoughts of the lure’s performance?

Charles Yeary
Member

I think the lure itself without the light or vibration on would catch just as many fish if not more than with it being on, it looks like a Rapala or a Yo Zuri which are both effective lures, a buddy of mine has a Rattle Trap look alike that flashes blue when it goes through the water, ive havent heard of a fish caught on it yet

I have only fished with the new bait for about an hour. Caught 3 bass in 50 degree water. You got to see it for yourself. About to order 2 more.
