Imagine getting to live out your childhood dreams of adventure fishing as an adult…

Well, that is pretty much what Frankie Marion and the crew over at the XPLOR Project are getting to do.

And the best part is they are filming everything and sharing these wild adventures with us!

Here are the rules for any of the XPLOR Project fishing adventures to give you an idea of what they are up to:

  • No resupplying once you leave port
    • No more gas
    • No more water
    • No more food
  • All protein must be caught or speared
    • Can only use fly rod for fishing
    • Can only use hand spear for spearfishing
  • Limited Power (on-skiff generator)
  • And all supplies must fit in a small inshore skiff

XPLOR Project Podcast Interview

Luke and I had the pleasure of interviewing Frankie Marion from the XPLOR Project, and what was supposed to be a 30-minute podcast interview turned into a full hour of amazing stories.

We just couldn’t get enough of this stuff.

The XPLOR Project is certainly a dream for many of us that love fishing and adventure.

And although most of us can’t get out and live on a remote island for weeks at a time, we can live vicariously through guys like Frankie Marion and his fishing travels.

I’m looking forward to see the Louisiana Delta trip and all of the future trips to come.

Keep up the great work guys!
