what’s your favorite rod and reel for working topwater lures?
Hey Rob! I actually just use my normal rods (usually TFO PRO 7’6 or the new custom Mudhole demo rod). I used to get all fancy and have a special “topwater rod” but I didn’t see much of a difference if you can get used to walking the dog with your normal rods
Thank you! mine are here and getting wet as I practice the walk. The lure seemed to ride nose up, light in ft. Added 1/8 split shot and seems level in action now. Yes the rod was parallel to the water and twitching fast. Question? Was it designed to ride high nose up or level? Is this effect I am seeing my operator error? We will see if the dock light snook will like it. Going back to watch the vids until sunset. Peace!
Hmmm. It should ride pretty level if stable in calm water. But yes, once you start walking the dog, it can have a tendency to have the nose pop out and the tail go down (similar to an injured baitfish)

Yea I’ll admit this was easy but we will see because although you claim the moonwalker is the BEST hands down topwater I know I have been fishing alot longer then you guys although only 20 years in the saltwater inshore environment the spook jr has caught me I know literally hundreds of fish fresh and salt both and I was not impressed with the old moonwalker to me it lacked the action and sound that the spook jr is famous for so it has a pretty big reputation to compete with but I know you exaggerate on alot of your predictions because your the main marketer for your company while Luke does alot of reports and coarses but of coarse it’s to be expected its business anyways like I told Luke when he said that the moonwalker is now new and improved we will just have to see all I can say is big shoes to fill🤔😉👍
