Agreed it is about presentation and i think a little knowledge in about the fishes habits in feeding and how each species relates to certain structure during different times of the day and year as well as the 2 tidal phases that the area that your fishing is doing my 2 favorite as well as confident lures that I have found that work in pretty much anytime of year and for most inshore fish in any tidal phase and location is a paddletail and the chasebaits flick prawn plastic shrimp these 2 lures pretty much I can count on all year long in any condition or location while I don’t really skip lures under docks I still cast them close to pilings and structure located sometimes under and around certain docks I have also found that in my shrimp lure I can now fish deeper by just switching out the weighted worm hook with a heavier one and the zman chinlock hooks is great for that because unlike most weighted worm hooks that I can only find in the three sixteenths ounce size the zman chinlock hooks i can get in a quarter ounce size so I can easily fish docks with depths of up to about 15 ft with ease now don’t get me wrong the saltstrong power prawns are a great shrimp lure and I own alot of them and fish them to but for clearer water especially in winter time when fish get real picky sometimes the chasebaits flickprawn has caught me alot of fish anyways everyone has there preferred favorites those are mine
