Just received the Slam Stick MH today, taking advantage of the sale on these specific rods. It appears to be as smooth as the Slot Machine rod that I already have been enjoying, Can’t wait to put it to use. ps… side note the shipping package that rod came in is next to NONE. I don’t think the “Bigfoot” truck could flatten it.
I got the Slam Stick ML combo when it first came out. I was looking for a 7’6″ ML rod. I spooled it with 10lb Diamond Micro Braid. Definetly gained some casting distance with the micro braid. I’ve been very pleased with the Slam Stick.
I’ve always wanted to try the Slot Machine, but it was a little too expensive, plus the $30 shipping fee. I couldn’t pass this sale up. Got both the medium and medium heavy, which saved me another $30 in shipping. I’m looking forward to see how these perform.
